Hello there.

I am very interested in this idea of Dual-Boxing, and it fascinates me, and i believe it would really make the game ALOT more fun!

But my problem is, i dont know how capable i am of doing this.

Let me explain to you my specifications of available PC's, and you can tell me what you think! :D

Ok, basically i have 2 PC's, a laptop, and possibly a fourth laptop. I would consider one of the laptops my main PC, as it is very fast.

PC 1) AMD 3800+ 64 bit processor, 1gb Ram, 6600 GT GFX card.

PC 2) AMD 2600+ 32 bit processor, 512 Ram, 4400 GT

Laptop 1) Intel Core 2 Duo 77100 1.80 GHZ processor, 2gb ram, 8400M GT graphics card.

Laptop 2) Similair specs, slower graphics card.

Those are my specs.

I am very interested in 3 way boxing, but if its possible to get a 5 boxing out of theese, it would be awesome.

What i am wandering is......

Can i sort of, wirelessly interface the computers together? By using a program that uses the LAN as a way of connecting to each other, or is that not possible?

Secondly, if not, is it possible to run 3 WoW's of my laptop? Anyone with a smilair specced machine would be very appreciated.

And finally, is it all possible using only software? I have a very limited budget, and could not spend alot of money sorting this :D

Thanks alot, and i avidly await your replys.

Another thing that confuses me about Dual boxing that i didnt pick up on.

Do you use your mouse effectively, say if you target someone does all the other accounts target them too?

Or do you just use the mouse on main PC, and set a series of macros to assist the focus target to that way get everyones target?

Cheers.

Not to appear unhelpful, but you really do need to read ALOT of what's already posted here. All of your questions regarding software, setup, key broadcasting, etc, are already answered.

You should be able to comfortably run 5 instances of WoW on the hardware you have. Your weak point is the half gig of memory rather than anything else.

But, really, have a trawl through the posts here. Use the search facility if needed. As a further hint, software that will help you achieve your aim might include "multiplicty", "keyclone", "multibox" and "synergy", all of which are discussed to death and back in various threads.

Have fun!
