Hello - I'm new to multi-boxing. What I did was set the 2 override buttons on Keyclone (Under setup in the Override Settings -> Override hotkey, Override hotkey #2) Well I set the first one to slash "/" and the 2nd one to Enter (or Return)

This way when I go to talk or reply "/r" it automatically suspends keystrokes being sent, and when i'm done typing and press enter to send my message, it automatically turns it back on.

I don't know if this was posted already, I did a quick search but didn't find anything.

they easyiest way if you are using keyclone or octopus etc is set your pause key for passing keys to the ~/` key or some other key that doesnt get used much and from thre it is a simple pinkie up to the key andthen start typing... for now that is what im doing. but yes your way would work really well and ill see if it works better for my style of play.

I use the pause key on keyclone when I want to say something on one character and the pause key off when I want to talk on all 5.

I also use the pause key, to stop alts from jumping and/or casting. (Since I have elemental totems on 3 and 4, and I can't get used to writing three and four fullout constantly, the pause key helps save cooldowns. :P ), next to that I disabled the "/" and the enter key (with all modifiers as well.) So my alts only speak if I activate that window with my mouse, then press / or enter key to open chatbox. (This is also to prevent chatboxes undeliberatly opening on my alt chars while going "omg, *spam pause button*, keyclone stopped working! ... ... Oh... chatboxes are open... *headbutts desk*" )

:P

Alternatively you can setup the override keys as a whitelist, so only the keys listed will get passed, such as the numbers. All you need to do is check the whitelist checkbox on the override screen.

You can also unbind all of the chat functions in the WoW keybindings on your alts. Of course you would never be able to chat with them again, unless you put them back. Really all you would need to put back would be return and / though so it wouldn't be too bad.

Sweet, I silently had the same question as the OP.

Yeah, the Keyclone 'white list' option is the easiest route to stopping unwanted keys being passed to the rest of your team. Just add the keys you do want to pass and you're set.

Anyways when i respond to a whisper and forget to hit the pause key. I see the skill, character, etc... open in the other alts windows. Doing this messed up some of my setting that i don't know how to fix and stuff (one of them is the health bar over the mobs, which isn't that much of a pain. The biggest pain was the camera lock. Somehow i entered the right keys and the camera was stuck behind the toons and couldn't move it). So just taking off the return and the / might not be a good idea.
