I have a PS/2 Xkeys.

I get home from work tonight and fire up the rigs. I head over to an instance and get ready to roll. I hit the totem sequence key on my xkeys and nothing happens. hmmm. Maybe my keybindings got corrupted so I setup and rebind that key to the totem macro. But wait, that isn't the keybinding I set the Xkeys to.

I wrote down the key mapping for my entire Xkeys before I programmed it. Now tonight all the keys on the lower left are different from what I set. All 10 of them. I didn't do anything to it, no one has access to my home, it is just weird. They are now bound to key combos that I did not use anywhere else.

Also, I turn off the machine the Xkeys is hooked to when I leave for work. I would not like to send this thing back but if this keeps up I may have to.

Ok, I think I fixed it. When I programmed the XKeys I used some NUMPAD keys with numlock turned on when I programmed it. I am now using a minikeyboard plugged into the Xkeys. I must have turned off the Numlock tonight and didn't notice. So the Xkeys was passing the numpad keys as movement keys instead.

Interesting to say the least. I guess if I didn't have a PS/2 keyboard plugged into it those keys won't work. I thought it would save the programmed state of the numpad and ignore the numlock condition on any plugged keyboard. Bah, live and learn.

My last follow up on this. I am buying an USB Xkeys so I can program the unicode characters and remove any issue with modifier keys for good. I would get the PS/2 programmer but it seems to be on perpetual backorder.
