Currently have 4 shamans lvl 60. Started a pally today and need him to catch up asap.

What do you reckon would be fastest/best?

-Boost by friends pally (instances) to 40ish then quest.
-QUesting with buffs from friends pally.
-Start a new group. And level them together until 60.

Thanks!

I just asked this, Got a few good responses, made some decisions for myself & got started with the following:

1. Boost To 40 if available, go directly to item 2 if not.

2. Once you are 38-40ish Quest with pally & all 4 60s multiboxing. YOu will only get about 12xp per mob kill, but the rate at which you turn in the quests will more than tripple. With the chainges in 2.3 this is fast.

I am Just over 2 days /played & level 60 right now without really feeling that it was too much work using this method. The closer to 50 I got the faster it went, with the 50's flying by.

Interesting and good to know.

My all-Shaman team is 50 atm, but once they're 70 and in Heroics I've toyed with the idea of levelling up a Pally for them. Good to know it can be done relatively quickly.

I have a slightly different take.

Since you have 5 accounts now, why not take advantage of it? I will never level up a single toon again. I recently leveled up a set of four toons (being boosted by a 70 hunter up to 20 for run speed, then a prot pally in instances (Stockades/SM) to 40, then questing in Tanaris (with hunter killing everything for them) to 45, then boosting in Strat by my pally to 58, then boosting by hunter/mage in Outlands up to 70.

Having boosted 2 up to 70 before in a similiar fashion, I found that boosting 4 in this way took only marginally (5% - 10%) more time. With an ele shammy boosting in place of the hunter/pally it will take longer (you may have to forgo the instance boosting and just quest boost all the way to 70), but I would definitely boost four instead of one.

I guarantee that if you got your pally to 70 alone, pretty soon you'd wonder what it would be like to have a Boomkin join your team in place of a shammy, or a priest to heal instead of your resto shammy, or a warrior or druid to tank instead of your pally, or a hunter to solo in Kara just for fun, or.... etc.

Four for the 10% more than the price of one alone? I'll take that deal every time.

Getting there - hehe. I am so looking forward to 70! The team is 50 now, looking to run through Sunken Temple tonight, then hit Ungoro, WP and then BRD. After that its LBRS and hopefully 58.

I also have a Blood Elf team "led" by a Paladin, which will be my next levelling project. (Paladin, Priest, Mage, Mage, Warlock).

Point of quest with this?

My second team - all Blood Elf - is still level 1. Would it be very much faster to group him with my 70Hunter and level him seperately? I'd prefer to level the whole BE team together (as I've enjoyed doing so with the Shamans), but if I could get a 70 Paladin to join my all-Shaman team REALLY quickly, I might consider it.

I have a 70 holy pally as my original main before i discovered the joys of boxing. He is awesome to boost, he has so much spell dmg from healing gear consecrate hits for 130 a tick, which in deadmines is enough to kill most everything in seconds. I swear I could take on the entire instance in the deadmines if they'd let me :)

Trouble is, whenever im boosting with him, I'm gimping my other paladin for my 5 man PvE group. So I've taken to boosting another paladin (I like paladins) on another account, so I can use him to boost future groups/spare characters. I like running around with my group, taking on stuff 5-6 levels above, but I really want my paladin to tank, and there's hardly any tanking skills in the early levels, so I can't really practice until I get at least consecration. I also am now starting the plan to have 2 squads, each gaining rested time and alternating as they use it up.

I figure that with 2 70 paladins on 2 accounts, I can boost 4 chars until at least ZF(which I can do on my current pally) and then switch to both pallies to boost 3 at a time in higher lvl stuff (I bet I can blow through Strath with 2 pallies, one prot one holy :) or maybe both holy hehe)

Then I'd still have extra characters that don't get to go in. I think I will just end up making so many spare characters, that i can always have someone else to fill in blank spots when im catching up my stragglers. Once I get a couple teams past 20 i'll start to keep track of em. Right now it's still in constant flux.

I agree that if you have multiple accounts and you are going to boost, boost more than on character. You actually get more exp per toon by having more people in your party. Make it a full group, put them on follow and plow through, RFC, SFK , RFK, and SM. Once they are at 40, you may want to just take 2 and quest together, or you may want to take them all. But I think the main point is, if you are boosting, the more the merrier.
