View Full Version : MIDI controller and WoW?
Does anyone have any experience with a MIDI controller and using it as an extra set of keys for WoW?
I ask because I DJ in my free time and have a MIDI controller I use and I thought it'd be great if I could hook it up to WoW for an extra set of keys.

I had an M audio Oxygen 8 keyboard I play with every once and a while. From what I remember you can use those in most games keybinds. I forgot if I did anything, but when I get some time I can try it in wow and let you know.
I think I need some piece of software that'll recognize the midi keys and translate them into some keystroke that WoW can recognize.
So I found this, http://www.bome.com/midi/translator/mt_classic.html
And it'll read a midi note and can assign it to a key stroke that I define.
Although for some reason the program will stop reading midi notes after a while, but other than that it works.
Ran into a wierd problem of it not working when WoW was in focus, so I set it to run as administrator and it works.
