Ok, lets say that im average skill lvl when it comes to multi boxing.

To make regular non heroic lvl 70 instancing through Outlands, whats the bare minimum?

Right now I have 3 active accounts, 2 of which have a lot of characters 60-70. Third account was a bank account but I just started lvling some of the toons. Will 3 toons make the cut for lvl 70 5 man instances? Should I go 4 or maybe even 5 accounts? I just dont want to waste the time and effort into lvling a third account if theres no point. My goal is to quest and 5 man instance the outlands. Questing alone is easy with 2 accounts, including the group quests.

Thanks for your input.

You'll be able to 3-man most of those with tank/healer/dps once you're in T4/T5-class epics. In greens/blues, forget it unless you outlevel them by several levels.

I should probably note that all gear will be gained through quests and 5 man instances and Rep... oh and trade skills.

I dont PvP and have never raided or ever had the opportunity to do so. My play times are in the wee hours in the morning, never in the evening.

In that case, I'd say you'll probably not be very successful at 3-manning most of the Outlands instances. Once you hit 70, you'll probably be able to do Ramparts, Slave Pens, Blood Furnace and Underbog and maybe sethekk but I doubt the rest will be doable with just 3.

With five 70s in quest reward greens and blues, I've found some of the level 70 instances doable and some not. Maybe I just suck, but I can't see being successful with less than 5 in the level 70 instances unless you're decked out. I suppose my lack of a proper tank does hurt sometimes. A tank/heal/DPS/DPS foursome might have some luck.

Have you considered an Oceanic realm? They're still hosted in the US but have a different time setting which attracts the people from timezones different to the US.

A Boomkin can only "tank" so far. Respec that space turkey feral, get some gear, and you'll be able to do a lot better. :)I have a pally on the same account as the boomkin if I decide I need a proper tank. 8) Have yet to even set her up for boxing though.

You can 4 man all the instances as long as yeh know the bosses and yeh follow the instance progression.

look at http://www.wowwiki.com/Instance under advised lvl or check out http://www.wowhead.com/?zones=2#0+2+1
dont be trying to run shadow labs before yeh run all the others before it, a few times

there's no way to 3 man the intances unless yeh really geared but if yer that geared there wouldnt really be any reason to run most of the instances.

WIth the 5 and 6 pulls in Shattered Halls, Steamvaults, Shadow Labs, Arcatraz and specially Magister Terrace; it will be very hard for anything less then 5 toons if they only decked in Green/Blues from quests and drops.

Alrighty thanks for the replies.

I havnt been to a single one of the Outlands Instances yet and had no Idea what I might be up against.

Looks like I might have to upgrade to 5 accounts, think I will try the 1 Pally 4 Shaman team.

Thanks again.

"Right now I have 3 active accounts, 2 of which have a lot of characters 60-70."

"I just dont want to waste the time and effort into lvling a third account if theres no point."

Why not transfer some of your high level toons to the other account(s)?

This is exactly what I did. I had a hunter who was level 66 and I wanted to dualbox with my 70 Priest. I just got a second account and transfered the hunter over. If you've already got a good bunch of toons, you don't have to level more.
