So, I want to farm the fish boss for turtlemorph. I'm currently running a Prot Pally/Holy Priest/3 mages (all 70 of course) but I struggle to down the fish boss. I one shot Venoxis but wiped 20 or so times on that STUPID FISH. Any Ideas? Seems my main problem is aggro when my tank gets knocked in the air. I've tried tanking in water, on land and underneath the huts to prevent getting knocked away but I can't seem to get it to work no matter where I tank. Any suggestions would be extremely helpful. I read a few sites and they say that two tanks are necessary but I don't want to have to drag a friend along every time :/

only done that fight ones at lvl 60. But cant you just have your tank with his back towards a wall? so that you dont get the knockback.
Or is it a kind of levitate thing he does like The Black Stalker in UB?

It knocks you really high up in the air and during that time he attacks other party members.

Is a thread on how to solo him as a paladin, including places to stand, gear needed etc....fight goes about 70 minutes solo :D

I wonder if you couldn't just tank him under water like clear down at the bottom of the lake if he would still shoot you up like that? Would require a water breathing potion but that shouldn't be a big deal if it works.

I was farming him for a while when I was only 3-boxing. Warrior actually works a lot better than a pally to tank him since warrior's taunt has far shorter cooldown and never runs out of mana (like my pally did).

Fight in the water, take it slow. Kill the fishes in the largish pool of water just to your right as you look at the piece of land he marches to after being summoned from the water. Always reposition him so that you are in the middle area of that body of water with DPS/heals about 20 feet back. You'll all get knocked up into the air repeatedly, be sure not to heal/DPS when this happens so the tank can re-establish aggro. DPS slowly and take mana pots as needed. Takes about 15 mins to kill this way but was very reliable. Be sure to watch for the fish respawns too (which they usually did when he was about 30% health for me), get them off the DPS/healers as you can, but Gaz has to be your main focus.

Haven't tried him 5-boxing, but I expect it would go much faster.

I farm this boss with my shamans and a tier 6 (pve) shaman healer friend helping out, 5 man.

We just nuke him while being in the water, I need to down a super mana pot every time tho. :P

hehe farming zg is so much retro fun, also 40g in bosses is nice as well ofc. Have been doing the bloodlord a few times now, still no mounts though :(

lol we used to live in that place on alts, my friends and i have also been grinding for turtle morph friend of mine had it drop fist run. In the same run also had the tiger mount but hes uber lucky and 3 boxes

I box it with feral + resto - makes it pretty snoozy when you wedge under the statue chin, or between the bamboo - requires no consumables, and no cooldowns - just 3stack lifebloom and 100% mana forever :P

When I am motivated, also do with a mates resto druid and my lock tanking for fun too in the same positions - but you would need to be more skilled at boxing than me to maintain that much coordination, its pretty safe with 2 players, but I cant keep it up when I tried to box it (this requires consumables, takes about 6 minutes to kill - 3 pots and using innervate twice - I also use 3x ironshield on my lock to help out)

That said, I have another friend who does it with prot pally by reaching 103%(?) mitigation for a boss level mob (ie % required for 73) -
takes him about an hour, but sits there reading a book, and clicking that SH heal on block trinket every couple minutes white hitting till it dies - wedges himself in that wall corner behind the statue.

Still havent found a successful way to box tiger mount runs if anyone has suggestions :( 3man individually (feral+resto+pvp warrior friend for pummels) is fine, but without a fourth account to take the beating when gouge + blind go at the same time, I dont think I can manage to box it.
