Can this team do heroics?

I know/saw that 5 shams can do any heroic
I know/saw that 4 sham and a pally tank can do any heroic

I haven't heard or seen a team of pally tank, priest healer, and 3 locks doing heroics. Is it just because everyone is just doing 5 or 4 sham teams? I was thinking that this team would be able to do it better then 4 or 5 sham just because of the aoe. I know that shams have totems and chain lighting, but chain lighting has a cool down and can only hit 3 targets. With a 3 locks you have 3 seeds that hits multi targets all the time (while with the 1.5 sec cast time), which is great for trash but when bosses come it is only a single target. Just wanted to know if my team can do heroics when they get to 70.

Basically, it's a Tank+Healer+3xDPS combination. Heroics should be no problem.

Warlocks have a nice little advantage of being able to CC humanoids/demons, which should make the group even better.

You get enough gear and you can do almost any heroic with a 5's. Some of the movement gets tough on boss fights tough. I haven't seen anyone 5 box Heroic Mr.T aside for the 5 shamans.

The good thing is that i will have my 3 locks and priest 3 epic set from tailoring when they are 70 (i have a tailor making the cloth now and should have all the cloth when they hit 70 ... hopefully), but i think that my pally will be way under geared. Should i just buy some epics on the ah to get him gear to do heroics? I know a tank and a healer that i usually dps for (single). But if i take my tank there will be 2 tanks and laking in dps, but having my other 2 locks in epics might make up for it.

Having a beefy tank buys you "time" in learning encounters, and adjusting to errors.

Research quests that gives your tank upgrades.

One word: Fear

Fear bombs will KILL a multiboxer. A Shaman group eliminates that aspect. And the totems of wrath and multiple heroim usage goes a LONG way for making up for bad gear.

but if he tanks packs "away" from his caster group, his tank shoudl be the only one feared.

Most fears are magic (i know some mobs, especially the defenders in Slave pens, use intim shout which is non-magic, but most are magic), which can be dispelled by the priest, or felpups.

So its only a matter of making a macro on the priest to /tar tank /cast dispel magic.

He can also use fear ward vs the non-magic fears.

It's entirely viable, yes.

It's also what Steph (http://captn-log.blogspot.com/) uses, although he doesn't talk about it much on his Blog these days.
