Like the subject says. I took Friday and tuesday off so i can have the long week. Didn't do much because wife was home on sat, sun, mon. But i was like hey take 2 days off and not tell her so she can't take them off and i can play wow... Yea i love my wife. lol. Anyway sounds like a good idea having 2 wow days to power lvl. Friday went great, but then Monday i was like shit, it is server day on Tuesday. I almost went to work, but was like maybe they wont do it this week or maybe it wont be down for too long. WRONG. My realm was down till 4:30pm and to make things worse my wife comes home early so i only got to play for 2 hours when she went to bed. So when i have to take a 5 days off going to take mon then wed- next mon off. Why can't they do the servers at night time instead of the morning.

Save 2 weeks for the day after WotLK is released.
Tell your wife you'll go in a sabatical.

I was thinking about that but there are going to be so many people at the new place that it might not be worth going when it first comes out. Well if i get enough epic gear from the old land i might do that and do instances for the first month or 2. But i do plan on taking a week or 2 off a month or 2 after the release date of the expansion.
Come to think about it what will be call the outlands when the new expansion comes out? The old lands, and then we can call the old lands the old old lands. If they keep making the lvls higher each expansion people are not going to make alts anymore because of the grind so no one will be in the old old lands anymore. Maybe the next next expansion they keep level 80 as cap and have to more classes that you can be and have a new 1-60 area.

Depends if you're going from 70 to 80.
Or if you're rolling a DK from 55; which you can take to Outlands.

LOL... it used to be EVERY Tuesday... now it's like every other Tuesday which is still much better then before.
But yeah... don't do any sick days for Tuesday unless you're sure that the servers won't be down. 8o

That is what i was hoping for. Like how many people actually works after a 3 day weekend. Losers... lol
They'll most likey shorten the leveling curve like they did in 2.3. I remember seeing a couple of blizzard posts saying something to the effect that they more or less wanted the leveling time to remain levels 1-Max level, as it was it was from 1-60 orginally. So sometime before the expansion after Wotlk they'll probably do it again should they up it to level 90.

If you selected your wife (better) for the long haul, then she should have some of your likes and dislikes. I got my wife and son hooked on this game and wife evens plays it more than I do. She in turn got her sister hooked , then sister in law.
all this allows me to play and still spend time with family :)
I have a 3 day weekend every week so life is good

Well it is only the first one... lol... got a bad roll should have rerolled
I tried to teach her, but 1 she gives up way too fast and 2 when she walked she was hitting the key instead of holding it (that got me mad).
Well hopefully our kids wont take after me. If i can get the kids hooked then when i play "I am spending time with them".
Watch this they will go alliance, if they do this i will have to ground them.

We can only hope so. The idea of a 1-60 grind, followed by the 60-70 grind, then a 70-80 grind is just terrible.
If max level rises 10, then the previous levels ought to compress appropriately.
Oh, and yes, I'm planning time off for WotLK also....lol.

lol what kinda saddo 'selects' their partner on the basis of them liking world of warcraft or not.
i feel your pain man.. i have very little time to play warcraft in between family stuff and redecorating our new house. The other day I wanted to start multiboxing.. got home from work.. my rubbish wireless keyboard had packed in.
Needless to say I was not impressed. The very little time that i did have to play was ruined.. I suppose it is sad that I care about such things but when you have been at work all day - a couple of hours immersed in another world.. albiet a fake one just relaxes me a little ;)

Well, I ve been happly married for 24 years, this selection was made way before wow came out. She is my matched set. we think alike , we are both left handed , we target same toon at same time in correct order. She is my best friend. First person I see in AM. Last person I see at lights out.
Wow is just a nice side benfit. Best part is knowing someone else better than you know yourself.
Once you have someting like this, you can not undstand what you did befoe this. 8o

The only thing that i did before WOW was anime. I have to have like over 2k of anime dvds in my house. At least wow is cheaper, but some times i miss my anime. I am so off key now i have no idea what is good or not.

That's what hobbies are meant to be, a little escape from the daily grind and a time to unwind, relax, and think about something else for a little bit rather than w/e problems you may have in life atm. Hobbies are what keep us sane :) Some like to spend more time than others on their hobbies and some unfornately slack off their responsibilties for their hobbies as well, but hobbies are a good thing.
Some people would call us ridiculous for having a video game for a hobby. But on that same note there's things that we could look at others and say to ourselves "That's what he enjoys doing in his spare time?" I for instance do not see the attraction in watching sports whatsoever. I very rarely even watch TV. That being said I'm not going to judge those that do like to watch sports and go to the games and get all dressed up and such. That's just what they like to do for a hobby, and good for them! Seriously if we all liked and did the exact same thing all the time this would be a pretty boring world.

I'm much like Tdog - I find my TV watching span is about 30 minutes - 60 at the outside for something I'm really interested in. It's just too passive.
Good movies are an exception - but there's not too many of them.

I for instance do not see the attraction in watching sports whatsoever.OMG i thought that i was the only person like this. It is funny because I am a guy people assume that i watch sports all the time. It is funny when people ask if i am a Red Sox fan, I just say "I don't follow hockey". Worse part was when i was in the dating scene 3/4 of the girls i went out with start to talk about sports and then just look at them with a blank stare and after 30 minutes they ask me a question and i say "I don't follow hockey".
But nothing beats coming home after being yelled at work about something and just taking you lvl 70 into sm and kill everything in 1 or 2 hits.
