Ok, I will speak specificaly of my experience. After watching 4 shaman melt faces on you tube i said "i want that !". I came into this (Multiboxing) thing thinking well i can get 3 accounts and boom bang a little AHK ( auto hotkey ) mabey some Keyclone and i'm in the game... after about 5 hours of research and starting new accounts I realized hmm, this is a bit tricky.

 (MYTH): you can just slap down some software and be off to the races lvling and grinding and so fourth. I was seriously discouraged by how complicated it was to get everything to jive. it seemed ahk was light level programming keyclone was a rubics cube and my characters were destined to sit dormant or worse run off in all directions un-impeeded. this will all happen to you. sorry to say

 (MYTH) you will be able to us eyour old play style seamlessly. I believed i could use the arrow keys and click click my way to destruction i was sadly mistaken... I would venture to guess that this is a more extreme re-learning than most people go through as most use mouse for movement and keys for attacks / heals. it has taken time but i am getting better.

 (MYTH) all your characters will move in unison and fight in unison. to some degree they will but your secondary characters will always be on follow NOT directly on top of each other, and due to internet, computer, and even software latency they will not cast in unison ( but should be close) ..

Having stated all that, i can honestly say that being able to invest the time and mental energy into duel / multi boxing is far worth the return being able to accomplish things that groups of 5 other people or more cannot is extremly rewarding. Not to mention all the whispers about how awesome that is.

Final note the members and moderators of this site are the single most helpful resource on achieving your goal of massive solo destruction. and plz do not be discouraged i have written this because if i had read this post at the onset i would have had many less head aches :!: "and i shall flow a river fourth to thee and teaming with souls shall it ever be....."

Welcome to the community.
I and fellow members and newbes wont be discouraged at you post at all, but the block of text critted my face for 5k :P

I would recommend to use and buy the keyclone license, you will save LOTS of time on getting the end result is key stroke rebroadcasting, once thats done, macros are the next step.

However, if it makes you feel even better, Video Guides and Live Streams are on their way! (You heard it here 1st)

First off Paragraphs :D

Secondly, nope it's not as simple as installing "ZOMG MULTIBOXING" add-on and nuking the crap out of people. To get movements and timing and macro's all worked out it takes a ton of mental energy and theorycrafting before things began to work seemlessly. Most people don't realize that the Multi-boxing videos they see are the end product of alot of hard work, patience, and determination not the beginning! I think that one of our resident moderators said it best...

Quoted from Vydree.

This isn't exactly a straight-out-of-the-box plug and play type of hobby. Think of it like building model cars -- the point isn't to show off the shiny model car on your mantle once you're finished -- they joy is to build the car in the first place. Showing off the model once it's finished is just a testament to the work you put into it.

Sorry, but It hurt so much to read I had to do it.

I was some what in the same boat as this guy. When I first thought about it, I had visions of sugar plums dancing in my head. Then I read a little, the plums turned sour, and then they started mooning me. While doing the "research" that should be done before you start, it is very easy to get discouraged, but hang in there. You will get it all worked out, just takes time, patience and lots of thinking.

I know have a Team of a Pally and a Mage both at level 20. (I went through about 4 different teams leveling each one to 10-15 before being happy with one.) The more research and thinking you do, the easier of a time you will have once you dive in. Now that is not to say, once you do dive in that things will be all peachy. You will hit your road bumps, you will get frustrated. But as long as you keep at it, it will work out.

Howdy Guner,

i do try to make it fairly easy for users to get up and running with minimal distraction... and i routinely ask people to drop me a note if they are a bit fuzzy on the specifics.

i'm sorry to hear it took a while for you to get set up. from activation... you should be up and running within 5 minutes. now, this does not include maximizer or extensive wow macros... just the basics. the ability to jump, assist and follow. time does vary depending on the number of accounts you have... and after that, your in-game macros can get fairly elaborate. the maximizer can take 10-30 minutes itself, depending on whether or not you are experimenting with the settings and performance

if there is anything i can help with... or something that could be smoothed out / work better... please feel free to drop me a note.

everybody who has started recently seems to be having the same "trouble". Hang in there mate it is worth it the feeling you get when you have soloed an instance that would have taken 5 people seperatly is a rush. Its even great low levels since the learning curve doesnt really start properly untill level 30ish when the instances start becomming semi challanging and the new skills start rolling in.
