I've just started pvp'ing my level 70 shaman (Singly at the moment, ultimately he will be the daddy in a 5 box shaman team).

I'm still learning the play style compared to my lock and hunter and I'm missing any form of crowd control. I find it difficult to keep melee opponents off of me. I've recently levelled engineering to 310 (haven't specialised yet) and was wondering if people have experience of how useful the engineering items are. I'm reading the descriptions of some of the items and how they cause area of effect stuns (which might be perfect for an escape move or just to slow a team down). I like the idea of the mind control cap (for controlling an enemy off the hill at lumbermill).

So for you engineers out there - do you use your gadgets in pvp which are your favourite.... and which specialisation did you choose (i cant remember if it's gnomish or goblin that has the most pvp oriented gadgetry).

Engineering has always been notoriously popular for open world pvp and BG's, most of the items though do not work in Arenas, but the grenades I think your talking about which do an aoe stun are awesome.

The rocket boots and the belt are awesome in arena.

Should not underestimate them. I am considering leveling engineering on all four toons for the rocket boots. I imagine I can open the field with them very nicely and they work in arena. Not sure how it would work out on four toons though. :P

hehe i've been considering that myself :)

*hmm they look like they are rushing..* *activate hyperdrive* */wave from other end of Arena/BG* ^^ maybe not as effective in Arena.. but for BGs this has got to be such a shweet thing to have ^^.. especially for those pesky ppl trying to get away

I was hoping to use bombs to create an emergency stun at 0,0 right where my toons would be, sort of rogue protection.. but they got rid of that mapping thing so can't do it any more :S
