Since bliz temporarily closed my account (I have to explain why I'm paying for 5 accounts at once - odd), I got to wondering. What combination is better for heroic instances - pala + 4 shammies or pala + 4 shadow priests?
Greetings,

Search around a bit, I believe you will find many discussion about this very thing. I'm not sure about the account thing- you might also want to search about accounts for multiboxers all being in the same name.

My pally/shammy team isn't up to the big times yet, but I think for my limited playing skills, four shammy's will work out better for wipe recovery. lol

did they reopen your account or?? never heard that you can have too many accounts...Naw it did the exact same thing to me too. I had to wait till the following day to make my 5th account.

They did open them back up, took a day or so, just had to answer some questions (what I was using them for etc.).
Thanks for the advice by the way! I figured that for healing in all instances but heroics, the shadowpriests would provide more than enough from vampiric embrace and for heoroics, I could respec one of the priests for healing and let him provide most of the healing. At the moment I'm leaning more towards shammies though, since they seem to be more versatile.
Have anyone in here tried 4priest/paly in heroics? (i did search, but no posts seemed to adress the shadowpriest issue specifically)

They won't. Its the spike damage. Think 3 - 5 mobs hitting for 3k - 5k each, all at once. If you don't have 5k - 7k heals handing the milisecond after the mobs hits your tank, its over.
You need BIG heals, that are timed rather perfectly.I guess that would mean that prot pally + 4 shammies would have quite a hard time as well. I've only done heroics with my main (mage) before my boxing days, so I don't know too much about the healing mechanics. Are five kiting shammies the only viable solution for heroics?

Five kiting shammies are definitely not the only solution for heroics.
Probably the best team is 1 prot pally, 1 resto shaman, 3 ele shaman, but I (and many others) have done them switching out a prot warrior or feral druid for the pally, any other healer for the resto shammy, and almost any 3 DPS toons for the ele shaman.
Lots of combos work, it is more about what you enjoy. For ease of play stay with or close to prot pally + 4 shammies, but feel free to branch out - other things definitely work.

My team consists of :
Druid tanks
Shaman healer
Warlock - demo
Mage - deep fire
Hunter - BM
I'm probably geared enough for heroics but I've been grinding rep with sso, lower city, and CE. Coordinating all the abilities is very difficult but thats why I multi-box in the first place.
Basically, running heroics is about controlling your team and being geared enough for the instance. Don't expect to walk into heroics with sloppy macros and quest greens and come out a winner.
