Team Teht had it's second week of arena yesterday, and I've officially moved up from 9 losses and a win to 5 wins and 5 losses! I consider that progress, even though I am at a pretty low rating now I'm still going up against people in mostly season 2 armor, and I'm in mostly quest blues and greens. I did come across my first multiboxer in arena: a team called Marlboro Lights. Whoever you are, say hi! Thanks for not demolishing my paladin that first time, I was so surprised to see you I didn't put up much of a fight, and I was way more interested in saying hi than fighting. Worth the loss! Anyways, I got you the next two times I saw ya, hope there's no hard feelings.
As for progression, I've been focusing on my paladin lately, because a guild is looking to me to tank Karazhan. Seeing as my paladin is 8 days into 70, I've had a lot of work to do. I'm nearing the all-important uncrushable mark, and hope to start my epic quest to stack stamina on my gear today.
However, my team has been VERY useful in putting together the paladin. I ran through Botanica 5 times to get the Spaulders of Righteousness, and I'll probably continue running Botanica (It's so easy!) for shards and reputation. I also did a Shattered Halls run, although I confess I brought a friend along as a healer. She commented that she felt useless there, and I ended up taking off my chest piece to give her something to do.
I also took a stab at Steamvaults with a pug group. We got to the first boss (the one with two water elemental pets) then two party members had trouble at home of the "Billy, get off that computer and go outside" variety. The party broke up, so I grabbed my 4 shamans and decided to give it a stab. I took the place by storm, to my surprise. It's easy to forget how powerful tremor totems are in that place, and also easy to underestimate how much damage 4 shamans totals up to. I've been running recount with the graph for raid dps recently, and I've noticed in pug parties it rarely gets much above 1500dps. With my shamans it's very spikey, cause they all do damage at roughly the same time, but it's not uncommon to see the spikes topping out at 3500 to 4000dps.
