Hey,

My CPU is idling at 81oC :cursing:

The fan currently reads 2370RPM, and sounds quieter than I'm usually used to..

I'm not sure what typical fan speeds are, any suggestions on my problem? I was considering checking the fan over and reseating it - but I don't have any thermal paste to reapply if that is necessary?

Thanks

I have the side off of my main PC case and a desk fan pointed at the graphics cards pretty much all summer long.

I have the side off of my main PC case and a desk fan pointed at the graphics cards pretty much all summer long. This is probably one of the worst solutions for pc cooling as you loose the airflow designed by the case... then again, if you have a crap case, it's your only choice.
