So.. I'm in the process of leveling up my war to test this theory (60) but was wondering if anyone tried this. Having your main be a melee class like a war/rogue plus 4 casters. My 70s groups that I've tried pvp BGs currently consists of 4xlocks/1xpriest or 1xpally/3xlocks/1xpriest. Overall the results are mixed. The usual rogue/war can destroy me pretty quickly. So I was thinking having a melee class to go after anyone that gets in close range.

I've tried using my pally but he's prot so his dmg is pretty crappy, though HoJ is a plus as it usually lets me stun the target and have enough time to take it out. At the moment I'm leveling up the war so he can add more dps to the overall group. Though maybe a rogue would be better as he would do dps and stuns? (my only rogue is 26 so it's gonna be a long while before he's ready heh). Was curious if anyone has tried something similar?

I can see where your comming from, i myself find warriors and rogues are often a problem, warriors more so as they always try to fear bomb me right away.

Personally i think that haveing one melee class while the others are ranged will cause you more problems than you think, biggest issue will be haveing to bring your melee character into combat, you can either bring all your warlocks up close to the target your melee is dpsing or move them about so they are slightly behind, but i would think that this would leave them very exposed to other oponents.

it could work, but personally i dont think that this is any solution to overcomming warriors or rogues, try a new tactic to over come them
