ZOMG that dwarf hunter is a nut case!!! 8|

(bruinn)

at times I was imagining him as one of those frothing-at-the-mouth tv evangelical pastors with all that crap about moral compass and ethics.

Dujow you rule my friend
BTW qq'ers like you make multi-boxing sooo much sweeter. I love hearing QQ"ing, I feed off it. Every time a little whiner like you comes along with your morals, I get hard.

I seem to have uncorked my inner troll squasher in that thread >_< quick someone help me get her back in the bottle.

It's just an argument topic with a couple trolls, so I fed the trolls for fun. Now all we need is a Suvega multibox checklist post and a Vyndree Blue response summary post and it can officially be considered "Owned."

It is amusing, how someone can claim the moral high ground, whilst calling your dad a crackhead, comparing you to a liquor store robber and then claiming you are a godless heathen, all whilst having never met you.

Hehe but I am sure having fun turning his words back at him ... even if I am trolling HIM because of it....

Good freaking grief. I try asking these people to prove their assertions, and all they do is say, "I already told you..." I KNOW WHAT YOU SAID! I WANT PROOF, NOT CONJECTURE!

/sigh

I really ought to know better by now.

Rarely do I make it to the end of the QQ threads about us since they often end up spewing the same shit that has been said countless other times, but this one has turned out to be quite entertaining. I think Bruinin was trolling with all the religious statements thou. Correct me if I'm wrong but did he really say people think the forums he participates in are entertaining? Did I read that right? That sounded like the words of a troll telling everybody he trolls, no?

Good work on getting the OP upset. Now go do it again so we can see him QQ some more!

I was starting to get a little sick of it, though. I can only go so far before telling someone that they're just paranoid. Multiboxing only because it gives you an advantage in the game. Please... The best part about it was how they kept insisting that the Blues were liars when they spoke about money concerns and how MBers are enough that they would dent Blizzard's pocket book if we were banned. Right...

I love the absolutely dripping irony of that as well.

That Brunin guy is a real class act...lol!

It seems like everyone but Bruinn ran off. I must have scared them :)

I'm glad I took the time and effort to attempt a 5-man instance on my own (at the appropriate levels, too) and that I finished it (with a few wipes and individual casualties) the first time around. I was able to destroy their lack of skill argument; I doubt anyone there arguing against multiboxing would even have a clue what was going on if they ever tried what I just did.

What is it with him and chodes? 8|

I'm only 1/3 of the way through reading it all and already I want to kill myself :P

Oh god, they're still going with 'no skill, no skill, no skill!' It seems like the person who's doing this is quite a bit older (or has played games since mom took them home from the hospital, judging by their gaming history). This is really bad if an adult is getting worked-up over it.

That thread has gone around in circles for a bit, so I'm trying a new tactic that might be useful to multiboxers. Since the GMs and CMs are on our side, I've asked a CM for that forum to close the thread since I've provided counter points that no one cares to respond to and because it has degraded into who is a better player.

If this works out, it might be the new tactic to use when threads go bad. If the CMs step in and squash people more, we might be able to use that to our advantage.

As soon as someone starts with the "I don't care what anyone says" line, they are safe to dismiss. They are a waste of time, because they'll come up with every idiotic argument that they can and argue it over and over regardless of what counterpoints you provide. Sounding like an idiot will not slow them down one bit. Their arguments are easy to respond to:

- Blizzard allows it because it's extra money-- this has been refuted so often and in so many ways that I am amazed people bother to try it anymore. When you called him on it, he claims that neither of you have enough data on multiboxers or Blizzard's finances, which is curious since it undermines his point.

- People do it to feel superior to others-- irrelevant to the questions about whether it is right or wrong, aside from being an inaccurate generalization.

- People do it to make up for a lack of skill-- irrelevant to the questions about whether it is right or wrong, aside from being an inaccurate generalization. Most people do it because it's an additional challenge. This is usually the excuse made by someone butthurt over being torched in a 5-v-1 situation. You can't fix stupid.

- People do it to avoid playing with others-- irrelevant to the questions about whether it is right or wrong, aside from being an inaccurate generalization. Most multiboxers have plenty of friends and play/raid with them and with their guilds. Multiboxing is something they do in addition to playing with others, not as a substitute. Anti-multiboxers who make this accusation are usually the same ones who lost 5-v-1 because they didn't have any friends or guildmates who would be willing to help them. Kind of ironic, when you think about it.

- It's immoral/unethical-- my favorite one. You are supporting a company that you feel allows immoral and unethical behavior because they can be paid off by the extra subscription dollars. If it's so bad, and you are sooo concerned about right and wrong, why haven't you quit in protest? Please don't tell me that you're going to "keep this up until they change it"-- they've made it clear that they're not changing it, so you're only saying that in order to continue to play while trying to claim the high ground. Sorry, but if you are making this argument and have not canceled your account by now, you're a hypocrite.

The fact that Lajia mostly uses ad hominem attacks as her reasons for arguing against multiboxing shows that she has no practical grounds to stand on. So the easiest thing is to imply that since the only people who multibox are 'bad' then multiboxing itself must be bad by logical extension. Multiboxers suck at the game, are anti-social, are conceited jerks, so on and so forth. Thus multiboxing must be a bad thing. Aside from the fact that none of that has anything to do with the legitimacy of Blizzard's stance on the issue, it's all wrong and therefore is a false argument to make.

True. Also, I love how he's ignoring my posts all of a sudden. He's answering the most petty concerns whereas my posts are conceding minor clarifications and corrections with the hope that he'll reconsider something.

Great.
