Afraid I didn't play Savage 1 so I cant comment on that. S2 is a great game, tho still a fleshling. Just released a new patch for it, with some exciting changes to Squadleader portals.

I found its attack-block-blockbreaker (rock-paper-scissors) way of fighting very innovative, but I also found that it doesn't work as well in practice as it does in theory (take a look at the recordings of the top players and you'll see what I mean). Nonetheless its still a good game and its a shame that most game review sites have practically ignored this game.

The reason there aren't many reviews around is that S2Games made a horrible horrible choice imo and signed an exclusivity deal with IGN. No going back on that now, but I think they totally underestimated the potential in smaller game reviewers. In Norway we got pretty much one big site for games (Gamer.no), and there's almost no info there at all. They would have reviewed the game if they could, and hundreds of players would probably have picked up the game. Oh well...
