First of all... THANK YOU KEYCLONE! Long time user, first time poster.I really love your program. My only issue is that i am still using 1.8e, yes E.

The reason is I use a very weird way of setting up keyclones maximizer and starting my copies of wow. E was the last one i was able to get this working on. The main issue is that I am circumventing XPs "DirectX across 2 monitors and having bad FPS" issue.

PC setup - (the hardware itself isn't important)
The Beast PC - Runs 3 accounts on 2 monitors on XP pro 64x. One monitor is normal horizontal, the other is vertical.
The lame pc - Runs 2 accounts one one vertical monitor also in XP pro 64x.
on both i run Multiplicity from Stardock for mouseage from pc to pc.

Keyclone Maximizer setup -

on "The lame pc" - nothing unusual. Just 2 accounts split screen vertically

on The Beast PC -
Step 1 - Through NVIDIA Control Panel I set the vertical monitor as Primary
Step 2 - Load Keyclone and setup a basic split screen the same as on "The lame pc"
Step 3 - CLOSE KEYCLONE (took me a while to get this all working the way i wanted, stay with me i know its weird)
Step 4 - Through NVIDIA Control Panel I set the horizontal monitor as Primary
Step 5 - Load Keyclone so it now sees the horzaltal monitor as the Primary and setup a normal full screen Maximizer
Step 6 - CLOSE KEYCLONE

Startng WoW -
on The lame pc - Normal startup commands. Its just one monitor so nothing special at all. I could have left it out of the post altogether but i thought more info was better then less.
on The Beast PC -
Step 1 - Through NVIDIA Control Panel I set the vertical monitor as Primary
Step 2 - Start Keyclone
Step 3 - run the commands for the two accounts on that monitor
Step 4 - Through NVIDIA Control Panel I set the horizontal monitor as Primary
Step 5 - run the command to start WoW on the horizontal monitor
Step 6 - Wait 6 seconds as it load and flys off the screen altogether
Step 7 - Right-click the now missing wow on the task bar and navigate: nView Options -> Send to Monitor 1(the horizontal one)
Step 8 - Done, everything is now loaded at full FPS and functioning properly

Now after E you changed something and this odd (but ultimately useful) little process no longer worked. I tried a LOT of thing to get it working again. As you can see I am "alright" at getting software to do things it wasn't exactly programed to do, but no dice. Then 1.8i came out and there was much rejoicing. Low and behold, It worked again! Now i have strict dnp and no more run aways AND i can move clones with keys when the main dies. yes it was a good day /cheer.

BUT THEN...

the lockups started. and there was much sadness and rollbacking to E.

I really wish i could give you more on WHY it locks up. It happens on both PCs at diffrent times. In order to kill it i have to use task manager and end the process tree. another odd symptom of "the hang" is that i will have to close both PCs keyclones to get them to reconnect.

This is in NO way a gripe about keyclone at all. E works GREAT for me. The only thing i even want in E+ is the strict dnp so i can set ESDF to movement on everyone. In E if i press just about ANYTHING while pressing ESD or F to move the main, the clones get a wicked broadcast of that movement key that i have to go window to window and hit that EXACT key to get them to stop running. i also have all shift E alt E and so-on set to dnp, still runnin away. so for now they are unbound and move by mouse.

So yeah, not asking you to go back and change anything to E. Just letting you know where I am at. Hope this helps you perfect (and damn man, your close) keyclone. If anyone else does this method (i know from reading the forum that some of you use horizontal on XP like me) PLEASE let me in on the secret.

Thanks for reading -

BTW its 2 am here and i will reread this in the AM to make sure its readable. sorry for what I am sure was less then a 100% logical post.

I wish people would always write detailed bugreports like this <3

I'm using version f- much as i liked the new features, this was the last stable version for me. Again, mad props to keyclone for all he does, just waiting for a fix to the crashes. :)

@AshuXa,
i guess i don't fully understand why you go thru the gymnastics. your fps is crap unless you do this? whoa... how'd you find that combo??

@everyone else
anyhow, if you, or anyone, would like to test an alpha for v1.8j, drop me a PM with your keyclone system-ids and i'll set you up.

i am unable to produce the lockups on my rig... so i need a couple of guinea pigs to test the new version and let me know if i nailed it.

This is a bit hard to type out so... bare with me.

If i setup and start all 3 accounts of wow and keyclone (with one monitor set as primary the whole time) i get lowered FPS and an odd not quite fps-like chop. They all load and go where i told them sure, but the lower fps is a no go.

Now if i use the method above, starting the copies of wow with the screen they live on set as primary, i get full fps and no chop.

This isnt a keyclone issue at all. Its a windows XP issues and this is just a work around.

Here is a picture of my setup incase I am being unclear.

ok.. that looks just damn sexy

i like how you made the portrait screens have their 'bottom' to the outside. very nice

i get your problem now. definitely sounds like a driver issue

@AshuXa ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=User&userID=6138') - Are you using Dualview mode, or Horizontal Span? If you are using Dualview, that sounds very interesting indeed. I've redesigned my setup to avoid using dual monitors because of the Dualview problems in XP, so I wouldn't be interested in following your procedure to get it working, but I'd be very interested in finding out why that method works for you, and if indeed it is causing both your monitors to work in a fully hardware-accelerated fashion.

I'll happily be a guinea pig for version j, but I'm going to be gone a good bit of the weekend. I'll pm ya as soon as I'd be available to do some testing for ya. ;)
