How do you not miss BoP profession recipes when only looting with your main?

As the subject implies, I loot mostly with my main, so how can I prevent missing BoP recipes that only toons with those professions can see? Thanks.

Ah, perfect, thanks. I thought only the guy with the profession could see it but at the same time I thought what you are describing had happened on one my level 70s but I was afraid it was wishful thinking. Thanks again.

Do you know if any of those recipes also have a profession level requirement to be seen or just the profession itself?

hmm im exalted with cenarion exp. and i did SV so many times i lost count, however I never saw the enchanting pattern i thought i would have to see it to loot it on my enchant char, maybe i was just unlucky.

well,
i've been running dire maul with my 70 warrior and priest to get some patterns & the blacksmith book.
after picking up a bop tailoring pattern up to three times on my warrior (from chest), I put master looter on, and put the off char (priest in this case) on pass to loot.
(ticketed the pattern, so priest got it in the end)
that way the warrior will get everything, and the off char(s) will get their stuff when the main sees it.
no need to switch, no need to press rolls.

and, when you are in a regular 5-man group, distributing loot is just two clicks away :)
