Hardware Decision

Hi Everyone.

I recently tried multi-boxing 3 Shaman, and I'm hooked this is a blast!

I did some thinking and why not go right for 5 :)

The only problem I'm running into is how to do this.

Either way I need to spend some money I just can't decide which way to go.

My current pc is a AMD X2 4600+ 2Gig of ram and I have a 7600 Video card. I can run 5 clients but it's very slow.

So I need to decide to I upgrade my current pc to handle 5 of the accounts or use some older spare pc's as clones.

The 2 spare pc's I have are AMD Athlons around 2500XP and a 3000XP 2gig of Ram and Nvidea 6600 video cards. They run it ok but even with the details set to low the cpu on the 3000XP is almost always fully used at about 28fps.

I guess I'm not sure what would make for a smoother setup.

If I upgrade my main rig I would go with Quad Core 6600 4gb and a 8800GT video card. I have a 2nd lcd already so I would put the other 4 clients on it using maximizer.

If I upgrade the older pcs to run faster I'd have to buy another lcd and would be spending roughly the same kind of money.

You would probably be ok with just upgrading your current rig to 4gb RAM, and an 8800GT 512mb GPU or higher. Dual core systems can do 5 clients. A lot of people on here run Quad core, 4gb+, 8800GT+ systems.
