As an additional resource for new folks that haven't the foggiest idea where to start, I've added a very basic tutorial for getting people started from scratch ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Multiboxing_101_%285_Mage_Tutorial%29') . This picks up at the point where you have your accounts active and playable and your keyclone/octopus/hardware installed and (hopefully) configured properly. I did add a couple of steps to verify that things are indeed working at a basic level. ;)

Enjoy. :)
[edit] I'm sure I'll find something I missed later tonight. PM me if you find any glaring errors.

Added some links to intermediate/advanced topics to the end of the tutorial.

Very nice work! I only played 3 mages, I'd say 5 gives much more experience into the Mage class, do you still love it? :)

They're pure lovin' for AoE PVE farming. They're also great utility toons to have around to make water/food for your real PVP classes. :P

That's a really good walkthrough and could be generalized to a startup guide for multiboxing rather than just limited to 5-mages really :)
Only think I would suggest is in your spell macros, since you have them setting up focus already, rather than /assist focus, /cast just make it /cast [target=focustarget]..I think it's as understandable but will be faster in practise and give newbies and idea of what to look for in macros they pickup or write in future.

I might expand that and make a second tutorial with a more variable setup but this one is designed as a concrete, no-frills, step 1, 2, 3 type of tutorial for people that really haven't the faintest idea where to start once they've gotten the software and accounts.
