IMAGE tag not loading the images?

OK, I'm not feeling more insane than usual but I can't for the life of me get the "Embedded Image" tag in the wiki to actually pull in and embed an externally linked image.

WTB: a clue, PST.

[edit] Example: I want to embed this image into a wiki page: http://www.l00py.net/images/under-construction.gif

When I use this tag: [[Image:http://www.l00py.net/images/under-construction.gif Test Image]]

I get a text link showing "Image:Http://www.l00py.net/images/under-construction.gif Test Image" and no actual image.

You shouldn't link to external images because:
- they might be taken offline, thus making the information on the wiki missing. It's impossible to maintain all these external links.
- they might be copyrighted
- some might steal bandwidth of someone else's website (and bandwidth costs money)

If you have images that you own copyright of, are public domain or something like that, just upload them to the wiki please :)

Yeah, this will suck when you want to do more complicated tutorials or guides as you won't be able to do anything but link to screenshots.

I'm sure there's a good reason it isn't enabled yet. ;)

If the problem is storage space and bandwidth, then I don't mind hosting the wiki on my webserver.
I have 1GB of space and about 15GB of traffic.

Currently the wikki only allows imagesfrom a few select sources, such as www.solidice.com...

MC and Ellay are needed to change the config file... hang fire on this one though as they may enable image upload in the near future

I've been suggesting that it might be nice to link our lovely gallery ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=RGallery&rGalleryCat=none&reset_tag=1') and wiki ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki') together somehow but not sure how complex that would end up being for teh webadmins.

Is there any update on allowing images?

I took a boat-load of screenshots and photoshop'd them for the EQ2 wiki then realized I couldn't use them. :P
