Taking a break from leveling my dual mages, I was on my other mage (I know I have a mage issue) doing some AV. Low and behold, I run into 5 shaman.. Reading these forums.. I knew the drill, I knew what to expect. Being on my solo mage.. I knew it was a lost cause, but hey.. No one else on the entire team would go near them.
So I Just had to see what a single mage could do.
Of course you killed me over and over without even trying, it is 5 vs 1, and you had a warrior guarding you also. But it seemed like I was forcing you to pay attention to me every time I made a run. Yes, I was being a dirty little mage and waiting for you to run around a corner and then Blastwave, Dragonsbreath all the alts.. but can you blame me?
Anyway, it was great finally seeing, and going against a team of this nature. Gave me more insight on how to deal with multi-boxers. Can't wait to get my dual mages leveled and see you again.

As a single mage, try to sneak close to them with some distractions, then lay down a flamestrike and Blizzard the hell out of them. :) That's what hurts me the most... if I can't actually SEE the mage AOEing me, its hard to alt-tab to them.

Lol - I HATE single mages running in and AOEing!!! One of my main targets for sure. They can cause serious problems a lot of times. I'm getting a little better - but I know you caused me some grief and slowed me down.

Out of curiosity - what were the horde saying about me in chat (wtf - bot!) ? I always wondered!!!
Fire mages are my first target - dragon breath is a bitch.

Strange, I've been Multiboxing on Burning Legion Horde Side (Vindicator BG) for about a year and have never seen another multiboxer.

I just leveled the shaman to 70 about 3 weeks ago. I have another group that's 70 - pally, 2xmages, 1xshaman, 1xpriest - but it's a lot less noticeable that they are multi-boxers - different names and classes. They are about 8 months old. In all the time in the battlegrounds I've never come across another boxer. I've seen a couple people with similar names - but they turned out to be friends or father/son. I've also had a few people tell me they MB - but they weren't on their MB accounts.
Xbox - the 5 shaman team is on my server - although I've never seen him on - and I have been on the server since wow started.
P.S. Now that I think about it - I did see a guy leveling mages in SM - but only saw him once - never a 70 MBer.

I saw you in a few games that weekend. Each group seemed to have a different reaction. Most would just run into Bal (which is where you seemed to set up your defense first) get 5 x LB or CL and then say "OMG bal has a lot of guards" which would cause us to skip Bal at that time. A few started calling you a botter, which I quickly came to your defense and corrected them, and also made a shameless dual-boxing.com / keyclone plug. Others also started to "correct" the bot calls after a few games. I have a feeling they followed the links I provided.
I still laugh that no one but me was willing to even attempt to take you on. When you think about the problem (5 angry shaman that work as a team) it really isn't that had to figure out what to do. One or two people may die, but we will get you down. I think if I had my dual mages at that time, I may have even been able to get your 4 followers down. When I waited for you to come strolling by so that you didn't have your totems set, and you where not looking or paying direct attention to me, I was able to get all 4 down to 50% before you could get a chain heal off.
In all due fun, you best watch out for a little undead mage with green hair, as I am sure to come and cause you as much pain as possible. After all, it is one of the best defenses against you. Slow you down and cause you to stay in one area, rather then be mobile and allow you to cap the towers. :)

Mages are a big-time threat to me if they are played right. If you had 2 of those guys you could have probably killed my group. I'm getting better at defending vs. a mage but it's tough.
It's funny - I've played almost entire games just defending Balinda. Like 1 in 10 games people get it in their head that they must kill her and keep going back. It's awesome.
