I am really new to dual boxing. Ive tried it before with two windows on one computer and it made me want to rip my hair out with frustration.
I am thinking about getting this key clone program and leveling two mages in order to smash faces in the arena. i have a few questions.
I really dont want to change my main to a mage.. So using keyclone how would i control two toons as different as say.. a mage and a preist. or a hunter and a pally?
I am a hardcore computer user so i have tons of computers with plenty of power sitting around. I want to try dual boxing with this program.. Then maybe if it goes smooth, eventually go to 5 boxing with a hardware soution.
but for now can someone explain to me how i would use key clone to control two toons separate.. if it can be done?

In a nutshell, Keyclone sends the keystrokes to multple programs / sessions simultaneously. I.e. if you are running 2 sessions of WoW, you press the '1' key and it send sends '1' to both sessions.
You then have '1' bound in each session to attack / cast a spell / dance / whatever.
You set one toon up as your main, and just have your alt toon(s) follow the main around. You also set up macros on your alts to focus / assist / accept quests & trades / etc.
Get yourself a suitable UI and addons and your set.

thanks for your responses guys.
would someone please explain to me in detail how you would dual box say.. a pally and a mage.
i am very confused on how you would say.. being to cast frost bolt.. but then manage to heal yourself with out messing up the cast on the mage.
this is all that keeps me from buying the program.
i have AIM and vent even if you do not wish to type this all out to me.

simple, lets say u have keybindins like that
on pally
1 - nothing
2 - hammer of justice
3 - self heal
4 - heal mage
on mage
1 - frostbolt
2 - polymorph
3 - nothing
4 - nothing
So when u hit "1" key, your pally does nothing and your mage casts frostbolt. So to keep dps you just keep mashing the "1" key. Then you want to stun something and cast poly - press "2" button.
When u press 3 and 4 keys, pally does heals and mage does nothing.
etc

You can also set up hotstrings, so that pressing say "ctrl+F1" (KC's usual example here ;) ) it "links" via a command to button 1 (or whatever you bind it to)
So you press ctrl+F1 on PC/account1 which tells that copy of KC to send the command "mage.ranged.1" PC/account2 receives that command and translates it to "press 1 dumbass" which happens to have Fireball on it :)

nice... shogun is king keymap :)
but seriously, with just 2 clones you should be able to get away without keymaps...when you get into a full group (or more)... the maps help differentiate the different tasks... which makes giving command a lot easier.
