Ok so I'm planning ahead to when I get my hardware (I'm a OCD planner and I wanna have my macros written and ready to go when I have my hardware in place).

I've decided to go with a Blood-Elf 5man PvE Team, my fiancee switched Horde and has been on me to roll Horde too. But I've seen the problems she has getting groups and I want to make it so we can just 2man any instances we want. And since Prot Pallies make boxing an instance easy, Blood Elves are the choice.

Now she plays a MM hunter, so she's going to be pretty much worthless in the way of buffs for my 5man unless I go with at least 2 hunters. But I want some CC.

I've decided to go with at least 1 BM hunter (for FI).

So the base 3 is going to be Prot Pally, Holy Priest and BM Hunter.

The dilemma is: for the other 2, do I go with:
#1 2 mages for sheepx2
#2 mage + BM hunter(And switch the BM hunter out for my fiancee when she wants to instance and otherwise have FIx2 when I'm 5boxing
#3 Mage + Warlock (soulstones, healthstones, etc)
#4 BM Hunterx2 and screw the CC with FIx3 for 9%dmg in a 5man

Right now I'm leaning toward either #1 or #2.

Any input?

I'd be tempted by #3, but it would mean running 5 different classes, which could be a challenge. You'd be portable (mage), wipe-proof (lock), well-fed (mage) and have lots of additional utility, assuming you had enough bandwidth to control it effectively.

Sheeps looks good on paper. But with a Pally tank, you don't need CC. :)True, which is why I was leaning toward Pally/Priest/BMx2/Mage. Just have the mage along for occasional caster CC, food/water and portals. And when I'm "solo" playing I'd have FIx2 (mmmmmm +6% damage is the sex) and if my fiancee was tagging along I could either drop the mage (after a food/water dump) and have 3x Hunters, or drop a hunter and still have CC.

And controlling 5 chars wouldn't be that hard considering I've got a couple of months to work on macros/key placement.

I do have to say that FI is kinda hyped, even with 4 of them stacking I don't notice an insane amount of dmg increase, the mob still dies pretty steadily it's not like it just drops dead as soon as I get 4x FI. I'd have to do some testing, but I don't even notice a big increase in my avg white dmg with 4x FI. It's almost like you're only being affected by 1, but 4 of them are showing up. I am pretty pessimistic, so don't take my word for it!

I would go with mage+lock, you get portals and a soulstone. And if you have money management issues like I do, a lock gets you another free mount in addition to your pally, so you save $$$. lock = more stamina, wipe insurance, curses, fears. mage = portals, sheep, intellect, free food/water

And extra bm huntard doesn't add anything except an annoying pet that needs to be fed/rezd constantly.

Well since you soon to be better half is a hunter and Marks. I would go with

Pal tank
Holy Priest(Orc shammy would be better for hunters but BF can't be shammy)
3 BM hunters
