Is there a way to tell drones to stop following without having them move anywhere?

nope, bind a key to make them walk backwards and tap it, they wont really move much, but they will stop following.

When I want to do this, I tap on of my formation ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Sticky:Spreadout_Macros_/_Formations') keys.
It moves the clones just slightly and breaks the follow.
Then your main is free to move around without the clones.
Actually, there is a way you could do this. Set up a macro for each of the clones to target themselves and /follow. Follow would break.

"/target Name
/follow
/cleartarget"
The drone continues to follow the main. What I ended up doing was binding it to strafe right, since I never use that key anyways. Just a tap and the drones stop following.
