Just curious for you guys running 5 shams, did you make 1 enhance and the rest elemental? main reason i ask is that my main guy gets the hell beat outa him, and it seems enhanced has nice things to help out with this:) I am totally new to shams though.. so lookin for advice, have search but not found much:( i suck is prolly the reason:) And could someone please post a link to your build?

whilst levelling all of them go totem of wrath without a doubt.
An elemental shaman with a shield can take a few hits before needing a heal, and you will find that the target bounces around because of how tight threat is.
All the same spec makes things alot easier and alot more efficient.

Opts description is probably the best way to go. But for chucks, my 5 shammy team is specced a bit more spread out. I have two enh shammies, 1 tank, 1 dps. 2 Elems for dps, and then 1 resto for healing.

Works out pretty well for me, but it is definately a bit more complicated. Much more macroing and work involved in a setup like that.

My team are all 65 now ( see sig ) I now wish i would have made a 5th shaman and i can say that my Paly is my targeter 99% of the time. What i mean by that is the 4 ele shams kill stuff so fast no tanking is needed while questing, so i just target with him hehe. I can already see with a combo of grounding totems, stoneclaw and other nifty shaman abilities that a 5th shaman would have been MUCH easier to grind both quests and instances with ( once they get elemental pet totems ) Since I came this far with my paly, ill just take him to 70 and then boost a 5th shaman.

A few things to think about. having them all ele means you will kill stuff super fast. 5xtotem of wrath=15 chance to crit and hit. They also have +damage totems and the gear will make you a critting madman! Even with 4 this is nutzo dps. But a 5th just makes it overkill! ( overkill is good )
The other thing to think about is if you have different specs, you will have to macro manage a lot more. In my case I will even lose a bit of dps because I will be forced to make one of my shaman resto to be able to heal my paly without taking agro or going OOM too fast. SO ill have a tank, healer+ 3DPS. 3 diferent macro set ups=more work. 5 ele shaman is the way to go, all ele speced. no need for "better" healing when shit dies that fast. Remember grounding totems... ele pets, and stoneclaw totems are " great" forms of CC IMO ( who says shaman have no cc, BAH! )

85% sure totem of wrath dosnt stack with other totems of wrath, just like other buff totems dont stack with themselves

I might be wrong tho

ToW stacks, unfortunently Wrath of Air does not.
Fuck, +400 spell damage would smash those pesky melee players who you dont require grounding totem

This is real rough but here you go.

ALSO! I have found that leaving one point out of Lightning Mastery on your leader helps a lot. Reason is it makes up for the distance your clones are away and they all hit at the same time. So now the threat really will bounce around , aka, less healing.

I am also only lvl 46 on this team and the resto talents i picked haven't been tested by me, they just seem to make since. Good luck.

all dps for me. with selfcast chain heal and 5 "everyone heal him but don't change targets" macros healing is no issue. heck even mana for healing is no issue, i use 3 ranks below my max and overheal a LOT. just too lay to change the macros.

i think most will tell you that the best defense is to have a good offense. go with elemental ftw. You will kill so fast that you wont need anything else for back up.

The other shaman was playing solo i am sure. yes, a solo shaman should be enhancement for the first 1/2 the game. As a multi boxer... seeing as how any melee action breaks auto follow... not so much. stick elem man you wont be sorry.

This.

Even in instances - and I admit, I've done only the low-level ones so far - most things are dying before I even NEED to tank, and on those odd occasions a 2nd or 3rd mob reaches me before it dies, they're usually wasting time eating up some of my 20 totems...lol. And outside instances, often as not, my Lightning Shield expires unused.
