First off, great site.

Second, I'm a 4 boxer that four boxes the hard way: Troll hunter, priest, mage and shaman using 3 Nostromo N52s. I do alright in PvE, so so in BGs, and well my 1200 arena rating speaks for itself.

Third, I was reading Xcin's excellent guide and filtering ideas for my own setup (I'm currently leveling 2 mages and a paladin; my plan is to go 3 mages and priest for PvP (along with a good friend of mine who is also leveling a mage) and insert the paladin for the hunter; while I really enjoy my hunter and would probably rather ditch the shaman, hunters IME are way to complicated to set up macros for (i.e., they can do too much stuff)).

In his guide, Xcin advised against a USB KVM. However, I realize his post is over a year old, and I was reading up on the the Vetra USB Keyboard Multiplier, which certainly looks like it could do the job. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or experience with this? I've concluded that using the USB X Key Pro would be better for me than the PS/2, as it seems more like the N52 with respect to loadouts, etc, and I would simply plug the X Key into the USB KVM and avoid the Y mouse altogether (I'm thinking about turning the X key sideways and putting QWEASD buttons on so I can move using the X Key, eliminating the need for following).

Thanks for your help.

PS/2 is cleaner, although its older technology.

And if your keyboard has "extra" USB functions, it may cause problems with the USB Vetra.

PS/2 is also preferred because it goes hand and hand with PS/2 Xkeys units.
Thanks.

(Btw, I saw your post on General Forums today...I think. Those poor goblins)

I am using the Vetra ('http://www.vetra.com/844Utext.html')844u Multiplexer. The version I have is a beta unit and DOES NOT WORK with the Nostromo N50 or N52. I do not know if the issues I had were ever resolved.

After playing around I found the best solution was the Ideazon Fang ('http://www.ideazon.com/us/products/fanggamepad.asp') . This works great with the multiplexer. The out of the box macro/layout software was complete trash and I almost gave up on the product until finding the current version of it online. With the updated management software this worked great. I have been tempted to try out the Saitek PZ31A but have not felt like spending the money on one.
