All my current 70s were 60 pre-bc so I can't count those, as they had alot of time wasted at-60. My 67 Boomkins however are sitting around 10-12 days /played atm, and that's with alot of time spent lvling enchanting in town + dancing in town for crowds lol

To 60 it was 4 days 7 hours boosting, which I did do some pvp and level profs which drained a lot of time. Right now I am booting a toon that is 20 hours ahead of that schedule at 36.

Fastest to 70 is 7 days 18 hours, I got my pvp bracers at 70 and had a quite a few 70 blues. I started this toon a few months ago.

from what I have read they fixed one boosting method that allowed very fast 1 char boost from 8-40 in about 8 hours.

Sorry not sound like a noob but what method was that? Im asking cause I was thinking of boosting a toon here in the not too distant future.

So like one of those where you get the mobs down to like a sliver of life and then have the 70 run out of the instance?

It was called the athene method made famous by Athene(self proclaimed greatest pally in the world) who holds the world speed record for leveling a single toon in WoW. It's nerfed you can do a google search if you would like to see the history.

I care-bear dual-boxed a warrior from 1-70 in 4days 20 hrs. That was a ton of fun :)

Multiboxed, I've always done quests with the instances at level just to finish the quests or grab a particular piece of gear (rare). That said, I've gotten two groups to 70 in about 12.5 days, both of those w/o doing anything but skinning for professions.

I know the aoe and exit zone has been fixed.. but what about this one?

I've got a druid at 48 right now and there's no way I'm gonna put another month in them if the only way I can level them is by questing, just for a 1% chance at the bird land mounts

Im asking cause I was thinking of boosting a toon here in the not too distant future. If I have it right... prot paladin would round up the mobs in an instanced zone while not doing any damage to them, then bring them to the entrance where a mage and the lowbie were waiting. Mage would drop from the group and start to AE, the paladin would zone out. Mage kills the mobs, lowbie gets normal solo experience because he is "alone" in the instance. I might have missed a step somewhere, but that's the gist of it.

As for my group, they are level 56 and a half, with around... 5 days and change played. I haven't been speed leveling them. I run with my enhance shaman, who can't really AE effectively, and my pace is pretty slow, plus I loot and skin as much as I can. I also leveled up tradeskills on the alts. I believe that the guy who leveled a paladin 1-60 in 1 day and 20 hours did so following around a level 70 DPS warrior who just mowed through instanced zones. They didn't use the exploit, just plowed through zones (warrior killing, paladin looting and tossing the occasional heal).

I assume a prot paladin could boost a lowbie to 60 pretty fast since they can AE down very large groups. That might be my next project, once my paladin is 70. Use him to boost another group by AE grinding.

The 2.4.2 patch fixed that method I believe(Someone in irc was saying how they couldn't reinvite or something after the mage left/got kicked, or something along those lines) so don't go gettin yer hopes up :P
