You got the job done though Lance, showing your screen arrangement, G15, X-keys and so on =]

Nice setup Lance, it looks good. How're you finding the levelling process with your current combo?

1) HUGE - I see your Xkeys off in the corner up there.
2) USB - so you can't multiplex it.
3) LCD is kinda gimmicky.
4) HHL IIs are cheaper.

*shrug*

Not that it doesn't have a place.... but I dont want one.

I got a G15 as a b'day present a while back, managed to break it by spilling drink in it (for the 5th time) and they replaced it immediately without question :)

I like the feel of it, most comfortable KB I've used tbh, keys feel nice, well spaced out, and it lights up, shineh! On my main character I have 18 keys set up in 3x6 like the extra keys, and bind shit+numbers and alt+shift+numbers to them, and put trinkets etc on them.

And I don't use a hardware multiplexer, and hadn't even heard of one when I got the KB anyway :)

The g15 is only there because it's the kb I had on my main computer before I even thought about multiboxing. I agree the screen is a bit of a gimmick although I did find it useful in wow because it is compatible with ventrilo.

Atm I don't think my setup is too great control-wise. Basically I am playing warrior on the g15 and controlling priest/mage/mage/lock on the x-keys. Which means one hand does the x-keys and mouse. I think this weekend I will transfer the warrior onto the x-keys as well and use just the x-keys and mouse.

the g15 is my favorite keyboard, i play entirely off the gkeys, one is bound to move forward, and the rest are spells. id never go back!

I just remembered something I've always wanted to ask to G15 users. Are the prints on the keys still there for you? Are the keys worn out and if so, how long has it taken?

I've worn down cheap keyboards so bad that the keys (mostly WASD) have basically gotten holes in them, in under a year of use. My current one has lost the prints so fast it looks like half of a DAS keyboard.

How uhh hard are you mashing said keys?!?

I have seen keyboards that have been in use for 10+ years still look almost as good as new with a little dusting and cleaning.

Granted they are hard plastic, IBM/Dell style keyboards but still....

I don't think it's possible to wear the key print down on a G15, as they're back-lit it means the letters/numbers are stencilled/cut out of the black key and the gap filled with translucent material, meaning you'd have to wear through the whole key to wear the "print" off :)

The early G15's had key wearing issues however thats been fixed.

I've had my G15 since they day they came out and after 8+ hours of use per day it still looks flawless. I know some people say the LCD display is a novelty but its my most favorite part to see who is talking on TeamSpeak or Ventrilo, what channel im in and how many people are in the channel.

Currently building a new setup, just dropped $7000 so I'll post up my pics sometime in the next 7 days hopefully.

4) HHL IIs are cheaper.

I've been looking into a new keyboard, and was looking at the G11 (loose the damn display).
But if you are saying there is a similar option for a cheaper price, could you link me there? (to the HHL II's :) )
