I will be playing AoC on the side ( love my WoW too much to give it up completely ) IF you are to and would like to get together with like minded individuals ( with multiple" character personalities hehe ) Than post here and keep an eye out. So we can pick the same server.post character names ect. I will be two boxing for sure! it might not work.. or it might, Im going to try anyway! Will make one studly melee type man and one sexy ass healer chick to hang out with me and serve my every need ( hey I can dream can't I ? )

I swear on the AOC forums I saw someone post a critique of the game and he said that the /follow and /target functions are a little buggy... Does this mean that they've been added? Can anyone confirm this?

I've been playing the beta for a few weeks now. I like the character interaction with the world, and model designs. The game puts a strain on my computer, though. I run a Q6600, 6BG memory, raptor HD, and 8800GTS. I had to disable dual-view monitor and just use my primary monitor so I could see the picture. I just see a blank screen with it turned on. This is the beta version, though. I hope that retail performs better.

If you bought the retail box all I can say is GOOD LUCK trying to play on launch day... or launch week even.

I bought the Early Access, downloaded the client (13.5 gigs) and then 2 days later they brought the patcher up and we get ~800MB of patches. (??!)
Download speed was terrible for me... 20-30kb/sec, I let it ran overnight and still wasn't done this morning.

Who knows how big of a patch the retail box client will need on launch day...

I'll be single-boxing it as well. I also pre-ordered and have spent the last 2 days trying to DL the 13+ gig Early Access client. As I type, I'm at 95.5%. We'll see if this goes off more like WoW or more like (I fear) Vanguard.

I dueled boxed that from day one. I gave the game up after a few weeks. Had it been as playable as it is now, I might have stayed with it.

I have also Pre-ordered AoC, and will be playing on a US FFA server. My brother, who plays on a different WoW server then I, is also playing, bringing the majority of his WoW guild with him. Should be fun.

As for AoC's performance, it is far from optimized to work with multicore processors, and the lack of performance on your Q6600 is most likely due to that reason.

I cant stand FFA servers. I LOVE PvP but not unlimited. I like to PvP when i feel like it, and not be bothered with it when I'm out questing/gathering etc. So anyone going to PvE servers ?

btw.. a I hope they list the server names soon 8)

As of Monday, when I could last bring myself to play (closed Beta), /follow was in the game, but didn't do anything.

Assisting is in, and bindable to a hotkey (assists current target), not sure about follow, hopefully it will be in in release client.

Going to be running 3 clients, pair of Demonologists and a Tempest of Set, lots of ground targeting AE nukes, so a mouse click broadcaster is a must, and will also help with questing.

As I posted elsewhere, had a good chat with a GM in beta, who said that the company welcomes multi-boxers (got screen cap of the convo).

Will be bring a DaoC guild (Knights of NI/midgard/kay) and an EQ2/EQ1/SWG/everything guild Aurora Noctume, looking at a US PvE server at this stage, mostly AU timezone players.

I am having troubles getting keyclone to work for 3 clients atm. Currently keyclone doesnt pass anything on to the other clients. Basically I installed keyclone, loaded up AoCs, then loaded keyclone, added the windows with nothing on the whitelist or blacklist.
I've got a couple questions if you have the time.
Are you running 3 clients on 1 pc ? Are you using maximiser if using 1 pc ? If 3 pcs would i need to buy 3 copies of keyclone ?

That's an informative post Rin thanks. Autofollow is a major pain in AoC so far. I have a hard time navigating w/out autofollow! I mean seriously i get stuck on damn near everything. I wish they could somehow smooth things out but I don't see that happening, the damage is probably done.

Regardless, I really like AoC and am thinking of boxing with it soon.
