Blizzard macro no longer works. : /

Apparentally the last patch blocked the ability to automatically do AOE's, unless someone else has figured a way around it.
That is, I was previously able to do

/cast blizzard
/script minimap:pinglocation(0,0)

and it would cast blizzard automatically. Just FYI... /shucks

Yes, allowing AddOns to target spells via the minimap ping was not intentional and was fixed. AddOns may not directly cast spells or change targeting.

a thread in these macro forums is what lead to me test out my macros and i was sad to see that message box with only an "ok" option lol.... YOU WILL CLICK "OK" AND BE HAPPY, IT IS YOUR ONLY OPTION ^__^

personally, i do not believe using the minimap ping to cast blizzard-type spells was OP, perhaps the ability to utilize the ping was tied to some other thing or an "exploit" ?

for single-boxers the utility was pretty cool but only made a limited version of the spell.....for me, it allowed me to use a spell i normally wouldn't use so much (granted i'm only starting out with this and am only using clonekey on a mac ATM, no synched mouse movement between windows - yet)

I have no problem with scar bombing. I just bomb with my main and the others get credit for the kills too. What I did was remove that part of the macro for the alts. I have been doing that for awhile now because all you need is to have the alts accept the bird with you. When you bomb the demons with your main it gives everyone in the group credit for whatever you hit.

Yeah... that quest just got a little more interesting. :D

I still use the part to accept the first gossip talk to get them all mounted up at the same time... and actually use this for getting off the boat after killing 6 of the guys at the 3 boat area... (blabble brain)..

I don't have any real use for the macro, being shamans, but this still confuses me. How is this different than, say, tab targetting to select the nearest mob to you? It's not like the old healbot/decursive that intelligently selected a target for you based on a variety of criteria. Again, I never really used the macro, so maybe I'm missing something in how it works.
