I've only been dual boxing since TBC came out and I have just been leveling the toons through questing and grinding so far.

Now, my guild is not a raiding guild rather just a small friendly casual one. Eventually when I hit 70, I'm going to change guilds and want to raid, run 5mans, Kara, etc.

The question is, does your guild let you play more than 1 account at once while raiding? Or do they make you choose just 1 toon to bring along?

I can see anyone with DPS toons being able to dual box in a raid, but healing and tanking and dpsing seem like you'd be spreading yourself thin in the "paying attention to your sorroundings" deparment.

And although I can see any good dual boxer doing this...are you really going to get optimal performance from all the toons you are controlling? I would imagine CC would be a major hassle to do with more than 1 account.

Anway, since I don't have any experience with raiding on multiple boxes, I'd like to hear anyone else's experience's.

I'd just like to know if people will be turning me down for their guild if I tell them I am dual-boxing.

My guild is pretty passive about what I decide to do but I prefer not to dual my warrior/priest in raids where we are still learning.

Before BC came out 4 of us, two being my warrior and priest took on Ony for about 10-15 minutes before we died.. Ony being oh so close to going down before we did..

It was,
jmet -my 60 priest
jeru -my 60 warrior
another 60 warrior our MT
and our raid leader a 60 Pally

Shortly after everyone else wiped and it was just us 4 Jeru went down due to a tail swipe and the pally and I focused on our MT and there we stayed for what seemed like ages.

Would I do it in BWL absolutely not, would I do it if I was running two of the same class like Mages? You bet...

I haven't had much of an opportunity to test my skills in a raid setting. I imagine the big issue would be one of positioning and managing to control all your characters out of stuff like rain of fires, and fights that make you constantly move, like Kurinax.

I have dual boxed jmet/jeru all the way through.

ZG
MC
Ony

I simply concentrate on keeping the MT up and Jeru. I am generally the third tank, or off off tank.

I've done pretty much every instance out there with 3 mages. Being the guild leader it helps :) but.. I usually only bring all 3 when we can't fill the spots or we need dps.

The latest encounters have been Karazhan, most bosses aren't an issue with 3 but some of the most difficult fights you'll find when playing more than 1 character are Thaddius and the guy in Naxx who makes you dance dance revolution around the poison waves.

There is only a few bosses in Karazhan I haven't done yet but most are simplistic.
