I haven't really setup healing marco yet cause i like i'm with 4 sham how can one of my guys die.... well one of them died and i could have saved him if my healing was setup correctly. The way that i want to set it up is have sham #4 be the healer and if i really need a heal then #3 and #4 will give off a heal. The way that i want to set this up (to make it easy) have key 1 heal party member 1, key 2 heal party member 2... etc. According to the main screen. This would be great if the party lineup was the same in all the alts but it is not, so i am thinking i will have to hard code the names into the marcos. The question is, is there any rhyme or reason behind on how the party looks on the main toon's screen? Is there a way to change the order on the main screen when everyone has been invited (i know you can do it for raids, but can it be done just for parties)? The reason i ask this is when i give my invites out to my toons and no matter what order i accept the group invite it always stays in the same order. Is this true, if it is then it wont be too hard to hard code if not then it will be fun... Do i make any sense?

Wall of Runon Sentences crits you for "OHGODMYEYES" :P
Party order is always the same, they are sorted by Reverse Char-Creation-Date. However, "party1" and "party2" are ALWAYS, ALWAYS different on each window, because the active char is always the F1 target, and they usually switch spots with the 2nd person in group, thus making your F1/party1 their F2/party2, and a third char is his f1 but you're their f3 etc
I'm interested in some reliable on the fly heal macros myself, both for boomkins and for shamen cuz Chain Heal's only so reliable lol

what i did was make macro's on each char,
on F1 on every char is /cast [target='charname1'] Lesser healing wave (rank1)
on F2 on every char is /cast [target='charname2'] Lesser healing wave (rank1)
etc etc
and i use a LOWER rank than max for this, just counting that 4x (or in my case 5x) lesser healing wave 1 equals 5x 200 health, 1000 health, in 1.5second cast time
when one char is in need of healing, i mash the corresponding F-key, and he gets healed by all back to full
on my F6 key i have bound /cast [target=player] Healing wave, withouth a rank added, this casts the biggest heal on each char, i use this after a big AoE fight or fall damage.
Now that i hit lvl 40 i can add in chain heal to the mix for that :D
than on my 2 button i use
/cast [target=focustarget, help, nodead] Lesser healing wave (rank 1); [target=focustarget, harm, nodead] lightning bolt
this way i can target someone (npc, some other player, etc) and cast a heal
my number 3 button is the same, but with chain heal and chain lightning
and yes i use focus for this setup, you can change it to use /assist 'name' or other way you use

Another thing that I found is usefull is put /stopcasting in front of my heal macro that way if the shit hits the fan and yeh just hit a long casting spell but yeh need to heal now .
then yeh can add modifiers:
/cast [target='charname1' modifier:ctrl] Lesser healing wave (rank1) [modifier:shift] lesser healing wave (rank2) [modifier:none] lesser healing wave (rank3)
so if yeh hit ctrl/shift or just the macro yeh get different affects
