Why cant i use my G15 MacroKeys?

Well i just started Dual Boxing last night. ITS AWESOME guys. This website has helped me ALLOT. . . actually i wouldnt be able to even Dual Box correctly if it wasnt for this site. Currently im doing only 2 shammys. I made a few macros and im using Keyclone.

BUT i cant use my macro keys on my G15 keyboard for some reason. Does anyone know how to get these working for dual Boxin`?

Use your G15 profiler ( Black g15 icon in your taskbar) assign all your keys to hotkeys

For example
alt1 through alt10
num1 through num10

Just wierd combos that will not conflict with the rest of the keyboard.
Download the wow g15 addon found at curse.com

Go into your keybinds inside wow and find the subsection for the g15 addon, and start assigning keys (It is layed out wierd in there but a little play around and you will get it.)

And there you have it my friend, i think a proper write up must be made one day but my busy schedule does not allow :P.

another thing that might be mucking it up could be your G15 profiler is not selecting the warcraft profile.

right click your logitech keyboard profiler in the tray... open .. settings.. profiler... profile..

and set warcraft as the default profile configuration

I was trying to use the MR and record a macro ingame, but it makes more scense to do this with the profiler.

Just an FYI about recording macro's if you put in any automation that cant be done in game, as in /cast shadowbolt pause 30 /cast shadowbolt you will more then likely get banned for it.

Id rather not automate anything, I dont want my slave doing anything i dont command it to do.

What im looking to do is the following:

I have an OLD G15 with the 3 sets of macrokeys.
Id like to set G1 to have my slave Focus and Follow my Main char.
I would like to Hit G2 and have my slave cast heal on my main.

Things like that.

One more question: Do i have to use FUBAR or is there a way to do something similar with the way WoW currently works without adding a BARS addon. What im trying to do is the following: How can i bind to power bar 6 without any addons? The fist bar is my generic hotkeys 1-12, but how do i bind to powers on say bar 6, wihtout FUBAR(which made it quite ez).

My previous post was specifically in reguards to recording macro's just a friendly warning, as to your question

you can setup those keys to be bound to key combos like g1 -3 is ALT 1 - 3
then in wich ever client you want you bind ALT1 - 3 to what ever skills you want to trigger with it no additional addons needed

I have the same g15 keyboard, and although the g15 mod from curse doesnt work for me (its just a glorified bar mod) im having trouble actually getting my keys to work with Keyclone.

When keyclone is not running, and I press my G1 key (mapped to CTRL-ALT-1) it presses the correct key on my action bar, and the same with the other account, however when I open it with keyclone, the wierd keys g1 (CTRL-ATL-1) do not get passed to either machine, and no clicking happens, however my g12 key, which is just F12, still works. I shut off keyclone and the wierd G15 keys start working.

Other than that small problem, it works great.
Just rememeber the keys have to be set in the G15 profiler, and then on both your characters keybinds.

My G11 (i.e. G15 w/o display) sometimes does not function properly either. All I have to do then is open the configurating software manually, switch between bank one and two once, and that's it.

Please do not use the G11/15 to automate using the time delay function for keypress macros.

It is against the terms of use and it will get you banned.

I also use the G15 ui mod.. that helps alot removing conflicts.. gives you G15 buttons on your ui panel

I can't get my G15 working either with Keyclone on. It works with it off but not with it on. I did what Rob said in his post having WOW as my default, but it still doesn't work. Any other advise.

I got my G15 keys to work with Keyclone by using a key map. I created 1 keymap and put in all my keybinds. For the G15 keybinds I used Ctrl-F1 thru Ctrl-F12 and Ctrl-Alt-F1 thru Ctrl-Alt-F6. I then use that keymap on all the wow instances. Been using it that way since last November.

First you make the G15-Profiles use the bindings of your choice. Then make a macro for eatch of your 5 spellcasts. Ex:

#Make a macro called "G4H1" (G4 heal 1) or whatever.
#Put following lines in the macro;





/target Player1name

/cast NameoftheHeal



Im not mutch of a macrowriter, but you get the piont right?

#Place the macro on a Actionbar and bind the button in the Keybindings (Esc -> Keybindings) to your G15 macro!



Thats how id do it anyway, im sure theres a easyer way, but whatever :P

I personally like the addon "G15 Buttons (continued). It lets you specify keybinds, so rather than setting up macros in the G15 editor, you can assign keystrokes like you do in the wow keybinds. Really helps for modifer macros, etc. It comes with a GUI of the G15 keys, so you can drag your spells to the key you want to use.

i use the G15 mod from curse and it works fine just make sure you do two things...

1) assign in the g15 macro profiler for each key (G1 assing ctrl-alt-1 etc)

2) in the menu that you assign keys in scroll down to the G15 profiler and assign the same key bind (button one gets ctrl-alt-1)

if you do this it works.. if you don't.. its just empty buttons.
