Question: I understand characters are listed in a certain order in wow when grouped, its down to their creation date iirc.

Is there an addon which allows you to position ALL 5 party members where ever you like? I sure there must be i just cant find it.

Any help appreciated

It's reverse creation date. In my case, I had to create Desertyou first and work backwards.

Yes

But i bet when you look at another windows, say "Letyoudown"'s window, he is number 1 in the group followed by the others. Thus it isnt in the correct order on your other characters.

What im asking is, i want to specify, visually and individually the order in which all 4 characters appear.

There are plenty of raid addons that allow you to sort people im wondering if theres a simple party addon that does the same.

And no, i have no idea why im typing in bold.

What Maz said; I created my shamen in proper Order, first Urth, then Flayme, Wind, Water, Mana; Group view from Urth's window: Urth,(on top obviously as it's his window) Mana, Water, Wind, Flayme.

As far as addons go I don't think there is one but there COULD be one that breaks the party members' windows into seperate frames and you can move those to your liking but I dunno of any personally

I'm not an addon genius, but it seems to me that a unit frames addon like Pitbull may be able to help you. I've never tried to do what you are doing, but Pitbull is really configurable.

However, even if you get this to work by dragging frames around, you'll still only be making a superficial fix. The program will still assign toons to party1, party2, party3 according to the same rules. Targeting party members with the function keys will also remain unchanged. You're just changing the way the boxes get painted on the screen.

I'm much more interested in a way to change the underlying assignments. Can that be done?

I saw a mod like that before but I can't for the life of me remember where I saw it or what it was called. UF mods just move things around as a group rather than allowing you to organize more specifically.

Pitbull, wont do what you are asking, but it will sort them alphabetically, which was close enough for me.
