Carbonite and Keyclone are not functioning together. The changes Keyclone makes to the config.wtf file are apparently buggering up what Carbonite puts there.

That said, I've e-mailed you a functional config.wtf and a non functional wtf if you could take a look and see if you can fix them.

I posted about this a while back. I think the issue is KeyClone is getting confused with the encrypted data in the config file and not saving it back out correctly.

question... is carbonite a digital signature? if so, any change i make to any part of the file will invalidate the digital signature.

edit: checking the carbonite site, it looks like they put some form of digital signature (or unique id) in the file before storage. so.. no matter what changes you make, they can recognize it

i'll check into making this compatible for next release

Rob,

Can I get a copy of the source you are using to rewrite the config.wtf? I don't figure it's anything more complicated than reading and rewriting the file, but I'm trying to work with the authors of Carbonite to get a working synergy here...

Thanks,

[Keyclone] release thread - keyclone v1.8i ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=7154')Fine! Be that way! I go and try and find a work around on my own and you go and provide the normal outstanding customer support you always do...

Hope that I at least helped with the config.wtf's I sent your way :).

yes.. actually, in testing, i used your config.wtf to make sure the carbonite fields weren't disrupted

let me know that it worked for you (actually having carbonite installed...)

Wait - you're talking Carbonite, the mod that costs $ and afaik doesn't do anything that free mods don't already do (for free) ?

And yes, it does cost money, and no, it doesn't do anything you can't accomplish for free.

I find it HORRIBLY amusing that qualification would be brought up in a KeyClone thread...

What happens if you manually change the config.wtf outside of wow?

does carbonite still fail?

if so then have you raised it with Carbon Games (or whatever they are called) because this is a problem with their system

has anyone independently verified that v1.8i works with carbonite?
(i don't actually have carbonite...)

Been using Carbonite with 1.8i and so far no issues that I've run into, running 5 accounts on 1 pc.
