New to multiboxing!

Hey everyone, I discovered multiboxing the other day and I'm already intrigued!
So I've bought myself another WoW auth key and I'm on my way to start dual-boxing :P (My system can only hold 2 clients, 3 max).

I just want to ask, what is the best combo to play with only 2 chars?

that really depends on your play style, a dps + healer is always nice, and shammys are really popular for boxers as they are kinda of a jack of all trades. But again, it's really up to you.

So would I just set up a macro like


/cast [target=mainchar] Lesser Healing Wave

on my healer then just control my dps as normal?

yup, back when i was two boxing i had a priest and warlock, and the priest would have all the G15 keys with macros in them for:
/cast [target=Polluk] Flash Heal or...
/cast [target=Devilcaller] Flash Heal and so on for each spell.

Polluk is the priest Devilcaller is the lock. So i could heal either one, only bad part is i needed twice as many keys as i normally would for healing while doin dailys and such...
BUT!
I found a macro on here that will target the target of your target...ie if you make a macro like /cast [target=target,target] Flash Heal it will target your current targets target, if it's your dps it will heal him or if its your healer if will heal him. I can't remember the exact macro but i'll put it up here when i get home, it's a really, really useful macro, and alot longer than the one i just posted but works like charm.

I've started up and I have a 2 shaman setup.

One problem I've found is - How do I loot on my "minimized" char without alt+tabbing?
I've tried setting the loot threshold to 1(common) by using
/run SetLootThreshold(1)

But I get the lua error saying number must be between 2 and 6 blah blah :PCheers

someone posted on how to change the keybinding from your mouse to a keyboard key to loot with your alts, but you have to be zoomed in all the way with your alt and have the mouse over the mob you just killed for it to work, some have had great success with it like 9 out of 10 times it would loot, i'll try and find it and post it here...i never did it cause it seems like it should be against the rules in some way, but noone has been banned or anything for it. lemme dig around and find the post.
