TBH I don't think we have even close to enough info about them to make any real decisions about something like that just yet. Still way too many questions such as....

1. Death Grip - What will be the CD/cost of it? Will it work on heroic elites? Will it work on bosses? What will be the range?
2. Death and Decay - Is it channeled? Is it more like consecration in that it occurs wear the DK is standing or will you be able to target a area much like blizzard or rain of fire? If the mobs are feared are they going to run all over hell and back potenitally pulling additional groups?
3. Dot's - Are they instant cast? are you able to cast them at range? or will it be more like a melee cast much like say judgement? Are they going to be signifcant sources of damage or less dmg but more utility added into them?

Plenty of other questions still to be anwsered on not just DK's but all the other classes. From the sounds of it, it sounds like quite a few changes are going to be made to all classes.

If I'm going to level 1, I might as well level 5 at the same time.

Then again, it all depends if I want a death knight... which will be the flavor of the month after release.

As mentioned before there is still a lot of info that we need to begin comparing DKs with other classes.

Don't forget that every other class will probably get new spells and abilities, as well as 10 new talents in each tree. That's the info that I'm craving to know, what could possibly be better than Earth shield or Shamanistic Rage for a shaman? Could it mean that 41/0/30 builds will become viable? Or perhaps 30/0/41? There are tons of possibilities, but I'm sure that info will be coming soon, seeing as how they are starting to release more and more information.

EDIT: screwed up on adding...

EDIT: screwed up on adding...Actually I seem to remember blizzard saything something to the effect that the new talents released in the new talent trees are not going to be more powerful than the current top tier talents but rather just different allowing players to go all out in one tree if they want or to make hybrid specs a viable option.

Im gonna level 4 for sure..

There is not gonna be a quest to unlock them, you just need a level 55+ char on the realm.. So as I said, might as well :P

Sounds like you could just invite a friend or two, and once you start invite them to your party and have them clear the instance.

funny loophole would be to create dead knight, move it to one of your other accounts, create a dead knight, that way you could have one on aserver where you would not have any chars on?

My thoughts exactly.... on both counts.

I'm not even sure I'm going to buy WotLK.

Now I've started multi-boxing, I have a whole raft of ways to keep me entertained. And I've only ever played two classes at 70. I've never been in Botanica or Shattered Halls. I've never done the Blood Elf starter zones.

OK, scratch that last one; Belfs are teh fael!

OK, scratch that last one; Belfs are teh fael! I initially had the same idea but then I couldn't help but wondering if the quest rewards in WOTLK will be better than the instance blues from TBC. If that's the case it might make sense to migrate to the new zones, get better geared, then go back to see the older content. Based on how folks have been doing in T6, I believe it will be possible to 5-man Kara at level 80 without any trouble.

There are two reasons I plan to stay on for WotLK.

One, I am thinking that Blizzard will apply what it learned in tBC, regarding progression and rewards, and that it will be smoother in WotLK.

Two, the intention to allow 10-mans to have their own progression separate of 25-mans. The guild I'm in is relatively small and very casual, and we don't have problems scheduling and running 10 man raids, but 25 mans have been a problem, and we don't really want to force anyone into a raiding schedule if they do not want to or cannot. So 10 mans are perfect for us, and being able to follow a progression path via 10 man instances would just be great.

And of course, enough of my friends will stay on to make it worthwhile in any event.

As for DKs, I plan to wait a while before I start one (or five). As someone mentioned, they will be the FotM, and since I'm on a PvP server they will also be the TotM (Target of the Month). The starting areas will be cramped and bloody and any areas where death knights are trying to level will be a gankfest. No thanks! I will level my mains to 80 while also working on my alts, and will consider a DK once things settle down and if I feel like doing it at that point. Our guild leader, who plays a warrior and has stuck with her main forever, will probably start a DK early and I will help her level it up when I can. If anyone deserves to try out something new, it's her!

As a multi-boxing warrior group, I can imagine your loss of sanity due to 6 little words: "NEED MORE RAGE." "NOT ENOUGH RAGE." "NEED MORE RAGE." "NOT ENOUGH RAGE." "NEED MORE RAGE." "NOT ENOUGH RAGE." "NEED MORE RAGE." "NOT ENOUGH RAGE.". :P Goddamn I heard that so much in the human male voice it's INGRAINED in my mind now and if I'm playing a warr and don't hear it I think something's wrong..lol

Possible? Certainly
Enjoyable? Subjective
Easy to pwn with?? More so then warriors probably as the resource is renewed by time or effects instead of how much you hit or get hit by something else. Honestly I think it will be like boxing paladins ... but with more damage potential. Actually in all truth if my accounts make it to being qualified when the expansion hits running 1 pally and 4 deathknights sounds interesting....
