Hey i am about to start my first instance soon and wanted to iron out a few little problems, was hopeing someone can help me

I have a prot pally and 4 ele shamans first should i swap one of my ele shamans for resto while leveling?

at the moment all 4 shamans have healing macros like so:

/assist focus
/cast [help] [target=targettarget, help] [target=player] Healing Wave

im not really finding this that great and find when i want to heal myself but pull a mob off a alt at same time they end up healing the alt which is ok but if its me that needs healing i have to wait til i have the mob! and if another mob is beating on me its not really working is it!! any suggestions?

thirdly i am using round robin for earth shock and healing wave so each of my shamans take turns healing (again should i have one healing who is speced resto? cos at end game i will have 4 ele shamans and thought it may be best to get used to playing like it?) as i was saying the roundrobin is great until it gets back to my main and there is a keypress which doesnt do anything i have ticked exclude from round robin yet no joy?

and can anyone shead a bit of light on something i read a couple days ago about setting up 2 wow folders to run in sync or something not really sure what that meant and how to do it? is it worth me doing? i have a couple issues here and there of alts keep running past my main then glitch back behind me but only rarely, is this why?

well sorry to write an essay and rant on :S but if anyone has a little of their time to help out it would be great

thanks

Running with 1 prot pally and 4xelemental, from 1 to 36 right now. You don't need resto for a long time. Body pull with the pally (or toss a bomb if you can make them), fire off your pally abilities to generate aggro, count to three and open up with DPS.

I have yet to use any round robin features, I haven't found a need as of yet. Once you get lightning bolt and chain lightning, I took shocks out of my macros to save mana. Just burn down your target even if it is hitting your follower. You can alway set a mouse over macro up to force something to pull to your pally with that ability they have, the name eludes me at the second. The first healing spells I've even used was for them to heal after the AOE explosion from Doan in SM. I've yet to combat test any healing macros other than my one to just heal my pally with that nasty hound master pull in SM that i can't seem to do as well against as even 5 or 6 mob pulls in the rest of the library.

The folder things comes out of several threads. If you look for my old posts, you'll find a large one with a technical review of sever folder management setups. It also depends on how good your computer is and how technical you are.

Your issue with your followers running past you is nothing more than lag.

Just keep in mind even a shadow priest can heal up to end game instances. Even then, heroics were not that bad. Just don't try Kara..... ../forum/images/smilies/thumbup.png You'll be fine the way you are.

I've just started running instances with my pally (65) and 4 shammy grp (60) only done ramparts and blood furnaces so far. made lots and lots of mistakes but there you go :)

I am debating making one resto but for now i'm running with them as ele. basically i just heal using the /cast [target=focus] Healing Wave macro as ideally the pally is the only one who should be getting hurt. obviously this isn't always true and i do need to tweek my setup (basically they heal themselves or the pally depending which button i press), this is for all 4 shammies at once, i might try leaving one as ele but have her being a healer during the instance and not nuking and see how that goes. maybe round robin is something i should look into too :)
