Keyclone used in the wrong way

If a mod wants to delete it please do but it is people using keyclone to expoit which could give it a bad name?

Perhaps that's a bit of a concern. And while I'm dealing with it, I don't think you're in hot water with the mods here since you've brought up concerns about our reputation and how to protect it. Normally, linking to a place where someone is attempting to exploit (and even then, is this really an exploit, we'll see...) would be bad news. Calling attention to this sort of concern, however, is probably fine.

Now, perhaps Blizzard intended that people extracting at the same time might get a mote as they would if it was just them. Or it could be a glitch. Keyclone is not helping or hindering that since a group of people could do that anyway, Keyclone or no.

What you do need to watch out for is unauthorized versions of Keyclone floating around the internet such as the one that is linked to in that thread regarding mote extraction you showed us. It very likely contains a keylogger or a trojan. That, and using Keyclone without a license is stealing since it is for-pay software. As a developer, I try to pay attention to that sort of thing.

But yeah, I'm not so sure what they are trying to do is illegal, it may just be a bug. If it is, Blizzard will get rid of the bug. Keyclone really has nothing to do with this.

This particular feature also works great for the http://thottbot.com/q3123 quest line, where you have to target a corpse and 'collect' it using an item. The corpse disappears immediately after you collect its muisek. However, if you and your team all select it and use the item at the exact same time, then each gets credit for it.

This works on a lot of quests like that, from the Red Snapper net-fishing quest outside the Draenei Starting Area(each alt can "fish" at the same pool if you fire all at once), to the "Extract Black Dragon Essence" quest in Dustwallow Marsh from Mudsprocket, to the Defias "Mining for shipwreck parts" underwater outside of the Theramore among many others; there's just as many that only work for one though even if timed together so it's pretty much a grab bag if you can find one that works, and if you do, be thankful it just saved you a bunch of time :P

I just think people are starting to use it for the wrong things, a quest is one thing but for expoits. If people start using it for it then it just more for people to moan about.
