Alright I was just wondering is there's a macro that'll stop my casters from following to cast spells from a distance. I have a pally as my main and have this problem of my clothies running up to my main cause of follow...

You can always just use the forward key or the backward key to stop them early then move just your paladin ahead with left+right click on your mouse.

I have my "spread out" key bound to one of my mouse buttons and just use that everytime I want my casters to stop following my paly. I don't think that there is a way to stop following via macro, I think you have to do it with a movement key. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I second this there is no scripted option to use say "/nofollow or /stopfollow"
The only way to break follow is using the arrow keys or jump.

Jump won't break follow except under some strange conditions.

Casting most spells won't break follow, the exception are channeled spells. The addon aftercast may provide a solution, it allows for benign actions to be carried out after the actions in a macro have occured.

another one to look at is /in which is part of the ACE library I think.

Jump will stop casting without breaking follow (unless you're in the water.)

Which can also be quite handy!

If you need your alts at a distance, use your spread out key. No other way =(.

Jump will break follow while swimming. :)

And we need to just write this on the top of this forum... I think its the #1 question asked.

THERE IS NO STOP FOLLOW MACRO COMMAND! :PSure there is...

/say [target=(alt Name)] Stupid Crazy Bitch, STOP FOLLOWING ME OR I'LL REPORT YOU FOR HARASSMENT!!!

Although I think it may be bugged cause my alts keep getting disconnected when I use it
