Hi, I'm new to boxing and I would like to share my first impressions with you.

So I started dual-boxing WoW with one computer this week. I play on a Dell XPS2 notebook, which is fine for two windows due to its high native resolution of 1920x1200. With the additional Logitech G11 keyboard, Alt-tabbing then casting an instant spell and alt-tabbing back is very efficient with the macro keys. In fact, it all happens so fast that I don't even see the other screen flashing up.

For now, I am experimenting with an enhancement shamy / druid combo. The reason I chose these two are:
- high DPS with little downtime drinking etc.
- good survivability due to ankh and rebirth
- instant DOTs and HOTs
- travel forms for both

I am a bit afraid of using the time-delayed option of the programmable macros. Sure, this has been discussed many times, but to me no sufficient or definite answer was given as to whether it is a violation that might result in a ban or not. Don't want to risk that. On the other hand, why would they consider the complete use of a device they actively support (like G15 display functions) an offense..?

Anyway, I find myself playing the shamy much more thoroughly, and the druid is merely there for dotting and the occasional heal. My biggest concern is that eventually the druid might be neglected too much and I guess I will need some more practise before I can "efficiently" handle two characters at once. This made me aware of the exceptional performance of you players out there that can deal with 5+ characters.

My learn-curve is quite steep atm, and if you have any suggestions please let me know.

regards, Bodefeld

afaik blizzard doesnt ban for using those Logitech keyboards, and after all I dont think they can track all your actions with the keyboard

Blizzard marketing going for a cooperation with Logitech is one thing, but Blizzard customer service still needs to police the game. That is why there are two different messages from Blizzard. One is pretty pictures the other is keeping the peace on the server.

As long as you do not abuse the G15's to run a bot program in it, which is theoretically possible and do not make any obvious or very long timed keyboard macros with the keystroke recorder you should be fine.

Example: A G15 macro that does 1, 2 sec pause, 1, 2 sec pause, 1 is of course against the ToS. It is detectable if your keystrokes are ever analyzed, but otherwise indistinguishable from someone regularly hammering 1.
