So I'm looking into getting a new computer with dual video cards. The one I'm looking at has the dual cards running in SLI, and I'm looking to run a total of 3 monitors, two verticals on the sides with 2 alts each and 1 horizontal in the center with my main.

I've noticed that some people have made comments that SLI is bad for multiple monitors (or something along these lines not sure exactly)

Any insights?

If I recall correctly you can only have one monitor running out two SLIed cards. I may be wrong though ...

You better off running the video cards not in SLI mode.

Yep. SLI is ONLY for a single monitor. And if my little test runs are correct, it really doesn't help having multiple games on a single monitor - even if you split them exactly in half along the horizontal center of the monitor.
