I don't live in the USA, but I seriously doubt Dell are the cheapest PC Manufacturers, try shopping around a bit.

Building the PC's yourself is probably the best idea but you should probably read up a bit about how to build a PC first.

Good luck.

Im going to order a computer tommorow to upgrade my main. Also checking out buss speed and stuffs: These prices are from a wholesaler I buy from you might not get them. But these are the stuffs I getting: These items are good for "bang for buck" build your own, also for great cooling in case you have heat problems or don't wnat them.

THis will blow any equal price dell completly out of the water:

I already got Seagate SATA2 (3gb) 500G hard drive from frys for $104.

GeForce 8600 GTSGV-NX86S256H. Ya its only 256MB but I notice that I have no problems running 4 toons with 256. $180

Here is link to Video Card:

I always go heavy on the motherboard.

MB-M2N32VS
77490 MB-M2N32VS ASU/AM2S940/NFORCE590SLI/VISTA $207.00

31597 A64-60CZBX ATHLON64 6000 AM2 DUALCORE BOX $167.50

00483 T800UB1GC5 STT DDR2-800 1G/64X8 CL5 $44.00

get 4 for 4 gig if yur operating system can do it.

I am thinking of getting Windows Server 2003 whcih will handel 6 gig (two 2 gig ddr2 and two 1 gig ddr2) ... but if I stick with win2K 4 gig is to much (only sees like 2.6 gig anyway).

250mm fan elimiinates all yur cooling problems, and the alum case is bonus!

63699 CA-8003SWA TT ARMOR ALU.SV 25CMFAN/WINDOW $170.00

PS-W0104RU TT 650W TOUGH POWER BK 14CM FA $127.00

Thats the heat sink

TT, AMD, Gigabyte and Asus ftw!

This system will be super quite also, no fans on the MB or on the video card, 140mm fan in power supply and 250mm fan in the case! And more 120mm fans in the case if needed. Short of water cooling this is about the most silent system you can get, the loudest will be the 120mm fan on the cpu heat sink.

I did a search for "dell coupon codes" in google about 2 years back. Found a premade system off their small buisness line that had 1gig ram boxes, 60gig hdds, 3.0 p4's and the kicker was a 17in LCD. Going price was $550. So I set the quantity to 5.

Video cards were not that great. Some sort of ATI hypermemory thing, but it plays wow just fine without modifying the default display settings.
