Hey guys, even though ive been lurking these forums for 2 months, and been 5boxing shammy's for a month now my post count still makes me post in the newbie forum ;)

got 2 things i cant get my mind on.

lets start with the last first.
i just received a n52te yesterday (YAY for impulse buying ;)) but am now contemplating sending it back.
im 5 boxing on 1 pc, 1 monitor (all screens maxed behind each other, using focus macro's to switch mains) and use the old G15 board with most keys used for spells or buffs.
now after trying out this N52, i notice im lacking in key's... i know that using the left 3 buttons for modifiers you get to use more key's it still feels more limited than my wasd keyboard layout.
might be cause i got big hands (im 2.00m in RL ;)) and can easily press 6 or even 7 from my wasd keyboard layout, and easily reach al F1-F6 keys and most G keys....
i tried using the Dpad for steering, but found it mostly lacking as my character would stutter while changing from forward to sideways...

now... someone convince me or else it gets send back ;) thank god for dutch websale law, can return anything within 7 day's withouth reason ;) (... got it for 40 euro from a dutch
webshop, 35 euro and its yours.. either way i got shipping to pay ;))

ok on to the first question than.
been running a 5box shaman group (how original :D) and so far been owning everything up.
lvl 36 now and after sm grave, sm lib, sm armory im now setting foot in sm cath and so far gone quite nice (need more time to finish it, damn work)....

but... im starting to feel the lack of a tank.
we've all seen veronika's 5box hero MgT, we've all heard the stories and screens from others. yet still i see more and more 1pally/4shammy teams coming up.

first off, a true tank with 60%reduction, a shield for blocking, aoe taunting.. its teh sweet.
second for pvp, 4 shammy + 1 dedicated healer seems to work better anyway (dropping your tank and grabbing a 2nd real life healer that is)

now again.. convince me, its not too early, should i drop 1 shammy, and pwrlevel a pally up to join the group (got a 60 pally on a different server (pve... not pvp) so i know how to play it and love the prot aspect).
or just continue with 5, :S

just blurt out your opinions :D im in no rush, got work tomorrow anyway (bleh.. no work means no money.. no money is no food, or going out, or multiboxing... the joy of life)

edit: inbe4walloftext.. i know.. i know

My n52 took a few days to get use to. Had to sit down and figure out a logical programming scheme so at least it'd make sence to me what I'm pushing. I don't use the Dpad for moving, I changed it to "shift" for modifier macros. The 3 buttons in the center of the 14 I made my "a.s.d." row with shift+s being "w./forward" key... so it felt a lot like the WASD, with buttons all around it. Any out-of-combat spells (buffs/drinks/etc) or rarely used spells I still have bound to my keyboard (F1-F12 & such); but for combat stuff I found the n52 has enough buttons for the criticals spells/macros. I am still tempted to upgrade to a XKeys tho for more buttons.

Once you get used to it you will wonder how you ever got by without it. Trust me, give it some time.

Noooooooooo!!!!! You *have* to use the dpad for moving! ;) Well, at least I do, and I really like it. It takes some getting used to, but once you do you can have all of your other fingers free for the buttons. It is the best thing about the n52 IMO.

Mouse is for movement....d-pad is for movement options, eg up for follow, left for diamond spread, right for square spread, down for line spread. :p

As for keeping the n52, do it, you won't regret it once you get used to it.

I'm about the same size as you and thought it was a little small to start with, but what I do now is have it directly beside the lefthand edge of my G15. My fingers can reach all the g-keys + all the mappings on the n52 so I get the best of both worlds. I use the mouse for movement and never have to touch the character keys on the g15 unless I want to chat with friends.
