View Full Version : Stupid question: best use for holy wrath?

OK maybe i'm not being creative enough, but i just can't think of any good uses for the spell "Holy wrath", the aoe spell that paladins get that hits all undead within 20 yards for 635-745 damage.

I have no problem with that part, what does bug the heck out of me is the 2 second cast time. My paladin is a tank. He is going to have lots of mobs on him. How am i supposed to get this spell off with all that pushback, unless i bubble, in which case the mobs will all go after my party members! If i go within 20 yards, most enemies will aggro on me, so i cant really use it as a high-threat pulling spell.

I guess i'm just stumped.

Self bubbles won't work, correct. If you got a priest tho, he can bubble ya and hope the shield holds long enough. Might be other work arounds, but in general I don't keep my undead spells on my bar unless I'm doing Schlo/Strat.

ah true, priest bubble will help. I had stopped using it as it decreased my mana gain (from the incoming heals = more mana spell)

It's more of a novelty than anything tbh as is all the undead/demon abilities that paladins have. However about the only useful thing I have ever done with it is aoe pull undead/demons for some major aoe aggro. Healadins can get a decent use out of it too inbetween heals when it's on CD.

Of course it's really fun in shockadin gear in MH to go all out on holy damage inbetween heals. You won't outdps the mages or anything but you'll out dps the melee :P
