Here’s just one conversation I had today with a fellow player. If I’m not mistaken I rolled his alliance character and he logged on to give me heck about it.

That conversation with the other player seems typical for someone who has no concept of boxing.
Im glad to see though that the GM understood our form of gaming. Just curious though....if you would have mentioned dualing the software route, would the GM have taken a different course of action? Say five boxing with only two PC's.

I would never admit to using less computers, or any other gear, than accounts. I worry that it just opens yourself to hyper-reduction to non-human action problems. Eventually you will hit the GM that is a washed up philosophy major.

"bring a raid"

ROFL!!!! beautiful, just beautiful. so nice to see these enthusiastic and nice GM's around.

the player is a different story. Contrary to what he said, he's the one that's actually 'bringing down' the game. people like that.....oh well.

thx for the laugh :)

lol I laughed my ass off after I said it.

What's funny is he did get one, 6 70s, I killed one at least. Decided to go eat diner and take a shower, 40mins later I came back. They were still there. So I ran underground where the dark iron guys are. Bet they looked for me for a while and wondered where I went. They had the grave yard camped too haha.

LMAO! I love the video. Pure pwnage. I have to ask though, in reference to the segment where you're riding on the horse...(Looks like Silverpine?):

How did you get your alts to spead out in that formation? I have seen Xzin do it on his videos, but don't know how to do it yet.

Great laugh, I enjoyed it. They're just mad because they can't pwn like we can. :-P

Wow I love this website. I play a decently geared lock on Blackrock - I have seen the multibox videos and I am keen to setup my own setup.

Shaman is interesting me the most. Does anyone know if the guy who does that (Steph is it) has a writeup?

I have been using the diamond formation and have swapped to Xbox's line formation now.

Diamond works as follows. Take two keys. I picked NumBlock '0' and '1'. Bind the Num0 and Num1 to the four following chars on different directions.
Char1 Num0 forward Num1 backward
Char2 Num0 strafe left Num1 strafe right
Char3 Num0 strafe right Num1 strafe left
Char4 Num0 backwards Num1 forward

Holding Num0 makes the group step apart in a diamond pattern. Num1 makes them go back.

Xbox's line formation works by assigning three keys to different functions. Lets assume you use Num0, Num1 and Num2.

Char1 Num0 strafe left Num1 strafe left Num2 strafe right
Char2 Num0 stafte left Num2 strafe right
Char3 Num0 strafe right Num2 strafe left
Char4 Num0 strafe right Num 1 strafe right Num2 strafe left

Pressing Num0 and then Num 1 will result with your chars lined up with Char1 having strafed right twice, Char2 strafing right once. Char3 strafing left once, Char4 strafing left twice. If you manage to hit the first key briefly and the second twice as long you will end up with your four chars evenly spaced.

I just have a pack of lowbie shammies. 'the guy' for Shammies is Xbox. He has his group of 70s.

That is pretty slick Steph. I can't wait to try it when I get home. (Of course, that'll be with 3 toons, but hey, it's a start. :-)

hey Steph, i have been trying to get that formation 'script' to work but have been unsuccessful. i am a little unclear where you are entering this, is it autohotkey or a macro? can strafing be done as a macro?

thanks!

Hey Evilsmith,

its an explanation on how the keys are mapped on the different characters. Once you have bound the keys, you are good to go. There is no autohotkey script or macro involved at all.

Epic video, Brad.

Keep up the good work.

I, myself, just threw 4gigs of RAM into my system allowing me to tri-box on one system.

Working my way up to 5-boxing once I repair my laptop.

You're an inspiration :D
