Another new guy with a problem. I run Vista 32bit with SP1 on a quad core pc and Keyclone crashes when I open it. I have ticked the box to Run as administator. The crash also happens when I run it via right clicking on it and select run as administrator.

Keyclone opened successfully the first time and got a license, but then I closed it while I copied my WoW install directory and now it crashes everytime. About 8 hours ago when I first had this problem, I noticed the keyclone website was down and keyclone wouldn't connect. I thought that might have been the issue, but now I don't think it is.

Even running Keyclone in XP compatibility mode doesn't work. Maybe the fault information below will help. Thanks in advance for any advice.

the website was down? 11am EST? i didn't notice that...

as for your crash issue... please make sure to download it from the link at the top of the forums or from the main site directly: http://solidice.com/keyclone

before you install, please remove the existing keyclone directory.
then run the installation binary as administrator
hit 'unzip' and it will dump the keyclone files into the c:\program files\keyclone directory by default
find keyclone.exe (using windows explorer) and drag a short cut to the desktop
right-click the short cut .. select properties... advanced... and check 'always run as administrator' (or whatever it is)
now double click the icon

if you still have a problem, please send me your email address and keyclone system-id and i'll check it out.

good luck,

Rob

I've got the same problem, looks like we're never gonna multi box and we wasted 20$ on nothing, hooray for us.
And it wont let me delete it because it says I need permission, even though I've only got one user on this computer which is admin.
I hate my life...And Vista...

as it is stated.. numerous times in numerous posts.. even in the PM i sent you...

if you are on vista.. you must run the installation and the executable... by right-clicking and selecting 'run as' administrator

this is NOT the same as logging in as administrator and running a program.

of course, you could probably avoid the issue... by installing keyclone in a directory OTHER THEN c:\program files\keyclone

try putting it on the root .. c:\keyclone
or anywhere that does not require admin rights to write.

if you are still having problems, please feel free to drop me a note.

Got it working.

The original download was from your website. Not sure what happened, but after the first time I used it, it didn't work again. Anyway, after downloading it again and reinstalling it, keyclone is now working. :D

Now I only need to wait for the extended maintenance to finish to give it ago. :pinch:
