Hello Everyone :D First Post :P

Yes...I saw that 5 Shammie Multi Box Video and thought "I want a peice of that!!!"

P)
Iv got Key Clone set up (Glad i bought this) and am currently leveling 2 Orc Warlocks on EU Burning Legion Horde (Crispii & Crispyy). Just dinged lv 6 (Yes im slow, Marco setup was a bitch) and an currently chewing through LV12 Mobs even before they can hit me or my pets (2x Imps, Cant wait for 2 Felgaurds).

However, im having a few problems. Macros.

For some bizzare reason "/Focus" does not work

I have this macro at the moment.

"/assist focus

/cast [exists,harm] Shadowbolt*"

*My spell Name (2x Immolations HURT mobs  )

The thing is, it dont work...

I have to resort to using

"/assist Crispii

/cast [exists,harm] Shadowbolt*"

This will only work AFTER i have casted the FIRST Shadowbolt, which means less DPS (Yes Im a DPS whore)

The above macro works if i get both pets to attck though, but i would like to be able to simultaneuosly SB nuke every things that comes in my way.

Can somone with a MultiLockBox assist me on this please.

PS: Quick Screenie :P

first off, gratz on the team and welcome to the forums.

This may be a dumb question, but you do have your main set as the focus target with your alt right?
other than that, the macro should work, sometimes it takes a second for the server to actually "assist" your first toon, so you can't hit assist and immediately start casting, it might take a second for the server to respond to your alt to tell it what to assist.
Make sense? lower ping times will definately affect this but there will always be a lag time between when you target something on your main and the alt picks it up

Yes, My Main Lock is the Focus Target, I have this macro on my alt. I didnt think about lag i guess ill have to practice my timing, further note, once combat has begun i can cast simultaneuolsy. seems a little weired that i have to think about lag before combat but not during :S. Thanks for you input though, very much appricated

The UI im using is Hals UI (1280*1024 version) link.

('http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info7975-HalsUIv8.html')Just a note when using any UI Compalation Packs, Alot of customisation is required, took me a whole day to get things working, NOTE that UI has a lot of out of date addons, which NEED updating or you will have alot of UI errors. I installed Recount (Damage Meter) individually.

the thing you are noticing is indeed the latency/serverupdate lag

if you target a mob while running to it and wait at least 0.5 / 1 second before actually pressing the cast button you will notice your alt(s) to cast immediatly.
this is also often the case when targeting the next mob in a multimob pull, the alts will usually tend to stand still for 0.5/1 second before casting on the new target

after some time you get used to it, when you know the mob you got targetted is gonna die in the next burst of spells, you can immediatly target the next mob.
by the time the last cast has finished and the mob falls over the server had enough time to transmit your new target to your alts.

nothing you can do about it....... its how the server works... same way how when pressing a casting spell you see it happen on your screen IMMediatly... but walking tends to somehow 'lag' .... spellcasting gets priority in server updates while movement and TargetsTarget update only after 0.5 seconds

Couple of notes:

1) /focus only works on group members (not being pedantic...just FYI :P)
2) Look at your latency. Take that number, divide it by 100 and that's roughly what you can expect the client-to-server-and-back-to-client delay to be. So, if your latency is sitting at 150ms, it'll take an average of 1.5 seconds for things to update from one client to the other. This includes selecting new targets. Factor this into your play and you should be golden.

Thanks for clearing thing up, im sorta getting the hang of things esp dealing with lag. now the only gripe i have is pet targetting random mobs, i guess ill learn the hard way :D

Thanks for all the reponses :D

Pet targeting random mobs is a known usage problem. ;) I'd bet your petattack macro looks like this:

/assist focus
/petattack

Right? If so, make the following change:

/assist focus
/stopmacro [noharm]
/petattack

The problem is /petattack (and /startattack) automatically target the nearest mob in front of you, which can cause mass chaos in instances and elsewhere if you're not careful. :)

Hope that helps!

Actually i dont use pet macros :P

I have CTRL+1 bound to Attack on both chars, i hit it they both attack at the same time, ill put a short video up and the contents of my current macro list.

BTW i do intend to level BOTH to lv 70, i have 2 weeks off nect friday and will level as much as i can.(ill blog it if you guys want, i dont see many multi lock boxers here, all shammies.)

Iv just found out that macros can be setup so that each pet can attack a raid icon, over the weekend ill test em out (and obviously report the results)

Thanks again :D

EDIT: i just noticed i dont use any macros at all :S, i SPAM CTR+1 (pet attack) because they both have the same keybind, both pets attack, then i Spam my Spells e.g Immolation (again bound to the same key on both chars) and bizzarly both my locks begin casting :S

EDIT2: Upping a shot video in the next 1/2 hour :P

EDIT3: http://www.vimeo.com/991235 (Titled: Look Mom, No Macros!) (2 hour wait :()
